Hello. I am new to this website. My husband, myself and our 2 young children (currently 5 yrs old and 3 years old) are starting plans for our trip to Disney. We are trying to decide exactly when to go. I assume between 1/1/08 to 2/14/08 is good since it is at a value rate and I figure it will be slower. Am I right? Any advice is welcome. Thanks in advance!

We were there once at that time, Jan. 1 - 10 2005. It's as cheap as it will get and nearly as uncrowded. If you book early Jan. make sure the low season rates are in effect from your first day on. When we went the lower rate didn't go into effect until Jan.2 so I booked one night at the higher rate then a separate ressie for the rest of the days at the reduced rate. The weather can be dicey, check this link for actual temps and precipitation for the past 7 years or so:

We caught great weather, in fact, better than any we ever had in March, every day had a high at least in the 70s with several in the 80s.Two weeks before and two after there were days that didn't get out of the 50s. Consider booking a WDW resort starting Feb. 14. When your stay crosses seasons, you get the rate you first checked in under so a 2/14 checkin will get you low season rates for the whole stay.

Our 1st trip when ds was 3, now 9, was end of Jan. It was sooo freezing, like 30something deg. and we had to buy extra jackets. Even if it's warm, it's still a little chilly for water parks if you were thinking of going. Typhoon Lagoon is so much fun. The 1st week of May is our fav. time. College kids are taking finals and spring break is done. It's usually about 88-90 which is what we like. Jan. high is around 70 I believe.
