We are going 9/10-9/20, and would like to eat at Chef Mickey's on a Sat night. The first Sat we are there is Night of Joy, for which MK closes early (we are not attending). We could swing over to CM right before MK closes and have dinner, relaxing for the rest of the evening since we won't have time for a park afterwards. Or, we can go to CM the last Sat we are there for an early dinner, and then back to MK for Spectro and Fireworks. If we do not do CM the Sat of Night of Joy, we could probably make it to Epcot for Illuminations & a counter service dinner. What do you think would be better plan for DD11, DD23 months, DH, and I? Posted question once before, got one reply, hoping for more good advice. BTW, we have a ressie for CRT the Sun morning after Night of Joy. Thanks!

Hi Frannn! I love Chef Mickey. We go there every trip! Anyway. The earliest PS you could probably get is for 5:00pm, thats when it opens. I believe the latest time is anywhere from 8:00 to 9:00. The times I go are usually anywhere between 5 & 6. With you having children with you it probably all depends on the day you are having. May I suggest that the day you do choose to go here eat light that day. Chef Mickey is a buffet and the food is great! Good luck deciding. ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

I would go with your first Saturday too. But I did notice that you are under the 90 day mark. The 5:00 seating is one of the hardest to get. I always call 90 days out to get the first seating on our trips. At the 5:00 seating, you most likely will be seated by 5:15. So you need to get on the phone TODAY and check on availability. This is the only PS I get annal about. The other ones I usually call a few weeks before arriving and sometimes the morning of from our resort. I got burned once on not getting in early for Chef Mickey and it was in the middle of january. I thought, a slow, time. For the entire week there was nothing before 8:30 PM, so we never went. Now I call exactly 90 (sometimes 89 days) before. My calendar is marked to call the end of July for our October trip.
