Hi, I have a 2 bedroom res. at the BCV for the last week in July(I need 1 more nite to come thru on the waitlist). When making ADRS yesterday thru MS, the CM told me that I was in a dedicated 2 bedroom. I NEVER asked for a dedicated (I know some people prefer these) but it really does not matter to me. Anyway after I hung up I realized that I DO NOT want a dedicated 2 bedroom because I booked the last 2 nites (Fri. and Sat.) on a CASH res. thru MS in a 1 bedroom and I was hoping we would not have to move! So should I call and try to get into a LOCK-OFF or do you think I am too close to my vacation dates to change things?? Also I thought rooms were assigned alot closer to the time you actually check-in?? :confused3 Thanks for any info! Joan

Changing the ressie will not guarantee that you will not have to move (although they will try to accommodate). As long as there is a 2 br lockoff available they will make the change. However, that means there must be an available studio and a 1 BR and you might have an issue with the studio being available at this date. They have not assigned a room to you early, the dedicated 2B is a category of room, not a specific room request. To further complicate things, some BCV dedicated 2BR's have 2 Q's and some do not. Anyway, if it were me, I would live with it until check-in and see if you can work something out then.

Yep, MyDogDrew is correct. There are 3 room categories for the 2 bedroom villas at BCV; Lock-off, Dediacated, and Dediacated w/2 queens. You actually reserve one of those rooms types with MS. It would be nicer if MS would advise members of which one they are booking so it isn't a suprise later. I always have to ask.

As far as switching.... It seems like it might be risky at this point. You could call MS and see what they think. There is also the idea of pleading at the front desk. I have heard of members not getting their 2 bedroom room category or type that they reserved so they might switch them once in a while :confused3

Thanks, I am going to call today! I was thinking that there MAY be someone in my time frame that really wants a dedicated and MS might be able to work it out?? Joan
