Need advice/info for illuminations

I apologize if the answers to these questions are in the illuminations thread somewhere but so far I haven't come across some info that I need.
1. Where does the illuminations cruise leave from? If it's more than one place do you have a choice?
2. What time do you need to be wherever it is you need to be to catch the cruise?
3. Where would you recommend eating dinner so that you are in somewhat close proximity to wherever it is you need to be to catch the cruise?
Currently have reservations at Le Cellier for 5:30 before Illuminations cruise night and would like some advice as to whether this is a good idea or not.

1. Most leave from Beach Club unless you made other arrangements

2. for 9:00pm Illuminations we were told 8 and actually left the dock about 8:20 by the time we all got settled.

3. LeCellier at 5:30 is fine. Plenty of time to eat and go out through the International Gateway.
