Need advice/guidance on vacation home rentals....

We are looking at possibly renting a home for spring break/easter and I have no idea where to start. I know some have been mentioned on Dis but can't remember the names. Is one Windsor Hills? How far are these from Disney property? Would love to get information. We have always stayed on property but our daughter will be doing the college program starting in Jan. We are going down early Jan. for 5 days. Then we are doing a DVC stay while she is there and now we are thinking of going down at a VERY HIGH PEAK week and were thinking we might want to be OFF property in a home with a pool. We can do some stuff off property too...because we know the Disney parks will be a zoo. THANKS

You can start by looking at this map and getting an idea of where all the subdivisions are then go on vrbo or homeaway and find out what kind of place you want: townhouse with/without splash pool , condo or pool home; what amenities are important to you: wifi, free longdistance, ; bedroom configuration; how close to Disney, and of course price.

Windsor Hills is #1 click on the blue markers and you'll see the rest in that area . Davenport/Clermont. (along route 27 and south of the Windsor Hills area) are further out but within 20 min of Disney.

We have stayed offsite many times. I like to stay near WDW and so have rented in Windsor Hills a few times and last time we stayed at Windsor Palms. I like a gated community too.

Other communities in the Formosa Garden area are good too

Check out www.orlandovillas.com. When looking make a list of what is important to you ex. pvt. pool without neighbors to the right or left, price, game room etc. It will help you add or eliminate properties. Happy hunting!

We've rented homes many times, usually through vrbo.com or http://www.windsor-palms-florida.net/ (assuming you want a place at Windsor Palms). We have rented 3 bedroom condos, 3 bedroom townhomes (just had one for 2 weeks in August) and 3 or 4 bedroom houses and we've always had a great experience. We wouldn't do Disney any other way.
