I know if I could do a search I could find the info. How far in advance do you make your rental car resverations for Florida? A year, six months, one month?

Should I make the ressie now and then keep checking if there is a better deal?

Thanks, you guys are the best!!

I'm not a 'pro' but I'll tell you what I've noticed about my two rental experiences. I'm sure it varies with each rental company. I made my initial reservations 3 months out. That was when I got my best rate. I checked back every day and the rates stayed the same until a couple of weeks before my arrival date...then they skyrocketed.

If you find a rate which you feel is good, make the reservation. There's no fee for canceling it to go with a better price, if you find one.

It never hurts to book early. Some companies like Hertz will take your booking but state that rate is not confirmed till later. If you planning on going during a holiday period( Christmas, Presidents week, Easter ) sooner willbe better and cheaper.

Thanks! So really what you are telling me is to obsess MORE about my trip ::yes:: .

Okay I can do that :D
