When I modify do I begin on the last day I had booked ..for example if I have nov 30 -Dec 4 booked..do I then modify to Dec 4-dec 9? Is that why it doesn’t matter what time of day I do it ?

When you say Nov 30-Dec 4, I assume the 4th is checkout. (Would not modify on Jan 4) That would get booked on Dec 30. It can be walked (modified) on Jan 1, 2, or 3. I do it two days prior to checkout. On Jan 2, I modify it to Dec 2 - Dec 6. Jan 4 move to Dec 4 - Dec 8.

It’s all about getting it in the first place. Walking is a concept of booking when less demand & modifying to the dates that are a frenzy demand.

I wouldn’t push it like that…. because then the website will be down for a day and you’ll be freaking out.

Just go in the next day and change it to Dec 1-5, then Dec 2-6, etc until you have your target dates.

Just learned choosing Dec1 isnt an option as a start date. Doesn't make sense that they do it this way.

True. I guess I meant cant chose it as a start day the day after you book 11/30. This leaves a walk open and a chance of someone booking the room and you be left without what you need.

I cant modify my current reservation that starts 11/30 to start 12/01 today. I guess I have to wait til tomorrow. Dec 1 cant be booked today 12/31 as a start date of a reservation even though Nov only has 30 days.

Still could book a full week on Dec 30.

Today Dec 31 you can go in and book a full week but it has to start on Nov 30 until tomorrow can book a week on Jan 1 for Dec 1st- 8th

Right now the day I need is in limbo because I didnt have enough points to book an extra day to secure it right now. Someone else can book that day I need right now if they start their reservation on the 30th. Am I making sense? I thought I knew how to walk until this morning

You are in great shape. Today is just a “time out date”. Nobody can jump you.

If you like to walk each day, tomorrow Jan 1 you modify to 12/01, 12/02, 12/03, 12/04. (Or wait until Jan 2 or 3) to make adjustment. It’s not an everyday move required once have dates.

They can book 11/30 and book all the way and also take 12/04 because currently the days I hold are still available for others to book. (Thats assuming there's only one room left on 12/04). I think I will be fine but I just didnt realize there was this pause at the 1st of the month.
