It looks like I may be able to add a couple of days to our early June trip. I found a flight 2 days ago for May 29 (Memorial day weekend) that was the same price as what I had originally paid. Well now that I am ready to book, it is higher. Do I have a chance of it going back down? In the past it seems that it is cheaper to book on their website early in the week than later in the week or on the weekend. Should I wait until next week, or are the prices just likely to go up more? I know no one can answer with certainty but I just wondered if anyone would know if the prices are likely to go down 5-6 weeks out or not.

Someone told me to look at flights on Tuesday or Wednesday, as for some reason they go down on those days. It worked in my favor for my trip last week. Good Luck.

It could go either way. If the price you see now is within your budget you may want to purchase it. You can always rebook and get a credit if the price goes down again. If it goes up, however, you're stuck paying the higher price.

I have found Tuesday and Wednesday to be the best day to book but it is a risk to wait but if it was me imwould wait

SW rates fluctuate all the time. Last year, I booked on a Tuesday when I thought it was the lowest it would be. The following Saturday night I was checking our flight info and noticed the rate had gone down ... was I rebooked at the lower rate and got a credit.

Generally, though Tuesday/Wednesday does seem to be the less expensive rates ... but keep checking ... you never know
