Need advice from bosses or job recruiters.

Since I love these boards and learn so much, I need some help. Okay a little background: Up until last year I worked for a contraced housekeeping company at a tourist area timeshare for almost 5 years. During that time I also worked for the sister company at other timeshares as a 2nd assistant to the housekeeping site manager. I left because my father had passed away a year before and I didnt even really take time to grief and I just wanted to take some time to spend with DM and DD because since 2003 was really crazy for us. I have the option to go back and have my same positon,but I don't want to drive 30-45 minutes and my last boss hired her grandmother, her sister, her aunt and the only she cared about the company was when scores went down and never there when she needed to be. I helped build that company and I had my fill. So my DM had pneumonia and that delayed me going back. Well now: I came across a name brand hotel being built 10 minutes away from my house and did some research on the company that will be managing it. Small world because my 1st boss of the old employment now works for one of their hotels and I am in good standing with. I call and leave a message and the next day my call is returned and I speak with someone about I did some research and what I was looking for. She gives me the General Manager's email address and tells me she will tell him to be looking out for my resume. I email a cover letter and resume.He writes back not even an hour later and says when they will be opening and that the lady I spoke with told him I researched the company which according to her not many people have done. At this point he hasn't hired a Human Resources director or the Rooms Director but tells me when he will have them on board.He writes to keep in touch. Fast forward a month later. I write a quick email to see how things are coming along and mention I noticed what is going on the company website. He writes back that there is a Director of Rooms as of March 20 and gave me the Director's name and he will be giving him my resume. Now my question: How else can I stand out, so far it looks like I am doing all the write things. Any advice? I know my 1st old boss will sing my praises, but anything else? What could make me stand out in an interview?Thanks in advance.
 
As business owner I think you are doing all the right things. Cant think of anything more to add.

I'd say you already have done enough. Just send in the information. I imagine the boss has already pointed out that they really ought to hire you!
