Inspired by the thread looking for Grandma's recipe. Years ago I had a to die for recipe for sugar cookies. They were chewy and soft and almost cake like. I think they had buttermilk and cream of tarter in them but I'm not positive. I loaned the booklet I found it in to my mother who promptly lost it. It was called Grandma's Old Fashioned Sugar Cookies. Does anyone happen to have one like it or heaven help me, that exact one? It was in a green booklet like you get at the grocey checkout. It was called something like Holiday cakes, pies and cookies. It also had a recipe for a shortbreadish cookie that you rolled in ground nuts and put a hershey's kiss in. I'd love that one too. I got this booklet in WA state around 1988 or so. Anyone?
