We've never been huge on the parades and fireworks. We enjoy them but they're not high priority for us. So, we usually stop and watch for a few minutes - then move on to the attractions while everyone else is watching. Partially because my kids would not do well with waiting in a spot for hours before the show starts.

I'm going for a short solo trip in October and I very badly want to see Happily Ever After. I'm super excited about it! And, I'd love a great view of the castle so I can see the projections. Since I'm a novice to getting a good spot for these I'd appreciate any advice I can get about how early and where I should go in order to see it well. I'll be by myself so I can grab a refreshment and stake out a spot whenever needed. I've thought about the dessert package but would prefer not to spend the additional money. Thanks!

We showed up maybe 30 minutes prior and there was a ton of space at the front of the hub, near the castle. People were sitting down and waiting. About 15 minutes prior to show they had us stand up and move together a bit. It was perfectly comfortable and the view was great. No need to get there crazy early.
