Please help, the only one I found has very mixed reviews. I am not bringing car seats but want direct shuttle to my hotel. Thanks!

I don't really want to go to lots of hotels, was hoping to just get something direct to ours.

There are really no direct shuttles to the hotels in Anaheim (where the shuttle will take you from the airport straight to your one hotel), unless you book a van for yourselves (have enough people to fill a van). If you want a direct ride from the airport to the hotels you might want to try a taxi.

I'm having the same dilema. I was planning to use Karmel, but I have kids 4,7,and 7 and they too will not provide boosters. What service did you find that will? Looks like we might have to use DLE. I really don't want to carry three seats through the airport!
Anyone else have any suggestions...we can't be the only ones who have had this issue!
Thanks!

You still have to carry them when you get there but you are allowed to check carseats for free.

Get a car seat carrying bag (Like a big duffel bag). Then the carrying bag takes the brunt of the wear and tear from the handling. (Plus if one of your bags is over weight you can put stuff in with the car seat)

I haven't used a Limousine when going to DL; however, I have some friends who have used a Limousine service a couple of times. From what they have told me, the cost wasn't that much more than a shuttle. I'm not certain if they offer car seats or not, but something to think about.

I found two companies, golden west express and zippy shuttle, zippys reviews are either really good or really bad and I couldn't find any reviews on the golden west express, so still not sure! That's why I posted on here hoping someone would be able to help! I am sure I am not the only person going to Disneyland with kids and not bringing car seats!

We booked a direct shuttle to BWPPI for 6 of us thru Super Shuttle and it was only $7 more vs a shuttle that stopped at multiple hotels.

In the past we have used bungee cords to attach the car seats to our luggage which made it easier to haul them around the airports

Just wondering why you are worrying about car seats? They don't require you to use them on any of the shuttles that you book, so you don't need to haul them. We take our kids and don't bring them as that is way too much to haul and never have a problem. I wouldn't worry about it.

I used Super Shuttle on Tuesday. There was a family with a 6 year old..no car seat. On Thursday. Family with infant and a tot. Neither had a car seat. In fact the infant was held the entire time.

And this is why safetly laws exist, because lots of parents put convenience above their kids safety.

I am with you OP, if I don´t find a better option, I will have to bring my girls carseats with me.

In a past post a diser reccomended a driver that charges $40 from LAX to the hotel, I have been meaning to ask for the contact info and have considered asking said driver if he will give me his home address and buy a couple of carseats for the trip and gifting them to him.

California has a car seat law I believe is 8 years and 4'9" they need to at least be in a booster.

I can't imagine holding an infant in my lap on LA freeways going 80 MPH.:scared1:

Broadway Town Car Service (http://www.247airportride.com/) provides private shuttle vans for up to 9 people for about $90, one-way. They will provide car seats upon request. I've been researching this for my sister who is bringing her 3 kids to Disneyland this summer. While this is more expensive than supershuttle, why mess around where your kids' safety is concerned?

If you are concerned about cost, Disneyland Express is the way to go. No car seats needed. And while you may stop at a couple hotels, everything is fairly close and you won't spend that much more time over a private shuttle.

Everywhere has a car seat law, but it does not apply to shuttles. Do you send your 6 year old on the school bus with a car seat? They don't even have seat belts. We are not putting our own conveniences over our children's safety, have you ever taken one of these shuttles? They are not necessary. I'm sorry, but I take offense to the insinuation I am a lazy or unconcerned parent, but you have fun dragging car seats through LAX.

Many shuttle buses don't even have seat belts for adult passengers which would make securing child safety seats impossible. I understand the concern of the OP as I have had that issue in the past as well. For this reason and others, we choose to rent a car and either bring our own car seats or rent them at the rental car company. It really isn't difficult to take a child safety seat through airports.

The safety of my children in vehicles is of the utmost importance to me, which is why my 6 & 8 yr old DD's are still in 5-point harnesses in my vehicle. And when my older DD rode a school bus when she was 6, she did wear a safety harness provided by the bus company.

It is recommended for children still in 5 point harnesses that child safety seat be used on airplanes. This will not work with booster seats. Most airlines will check child safety seats for free.

I really don't know where your children go to school, but safety harnesses are not an option on most busses. They go from 4 years old here and there are not seat belts or safety seats. I'm not saying that kids safety isn't of the "utmost importance", but it isn't always realistic on busses or shuttles. This is also a forum to give people options, not attack other parents. I take my children's safety very seriously and am shocked at the attitude towards others on this particular thread.

I don't see anyone being attacked. The OP wants her kids in child safety seats, there is nothing wrong with that. I want my kids in child safety seats and I have chosen the option that will ensure that they will be in them. A shuttle bus ride from LAX to Anaheim isn't just a few blocks and buses do have accidents.

I was responding the school buses in our school district do have harnesses for the younger, lighter weight kids. I was happy that they did. It is too bad that all bus companies don't have them. School buses are designed to provide passenger protection that other types of buses don't offer - high back seats with dense cushioning, roll cages, etc. Most shuttle buses I have been on don't have seats like a school bus. I haven't researched them enough to know about the roll cages, but I do know the seats are not designed to protect the occupant in an accident like a school bus is.

I hope the OP can find a shuttle that does offer child safety seats.

We used Zippy shuttle- they had a booster for DD6...might be worth giving them a call/email?

We checked our own carseats and it really wasn't that big of a pain, especially if you rent a luggage cart at the airport or can do a curbside check-in.

I personally am not comfortable having my children riding without proper safety seats, especially on busy CA freeways. Our family was involved in a fairly serious car accident and while we were wearing our seatbelts, we were still injured. Our children, thankfully, were left with only minor bruising from their harness straps. I hate to think of what could have happened had they not been properly restrained in their carseats at the time.

I hope that you can find a shuttle company/driver that will work for you. I also suggest that you ask them for the history of the carseats as well - make sure they haven't been recalled or are expired and find out if they have ever been involved in an accident (a lot of people do not realize that carseats should be replaced after an accident). I am not sure what the CA seatbelt law is exactly, but I personally felt more secure having my children in their own carseat and booster for this reason.

While I know that most school buses do not have safety restraints (although I wish that they did), I don't consider that to be a fair comparison to the airport shuttles I have been on, which are more like vans than actual buses. Vans and buses are designed differently and it seems like vans might have a higher rate of roll-overs in high speed accidents.
