Need a room for one night.

Hubby and I have a trip booked for 10/23-11/1 at POFQ. Our flight (long story) is on 10/22, so we need a room for one night before our stay at POFQ. I tried to get another day there, but no deal. Also, no other Disney hotel will do one night except the mega expensive ones. So far, I have found a room at Dolphin for $333. Yikes. Any suggestions for a nice, cheaper hotel close by? WIll need to have a shuttle to get to the parks or Disney Springs.

Try the ones on Lake Buena Vista Drive that indicate they're near Disney Springs. Those have shuttles to the parks, though you may wait longer for one than you're accustomed to wait for Disney transportation.

We paid less than half the Deluxe going rate at the LBV Hilton several years ago for an arrival night-only stay.

It is literally across the street from the Marketplace entrance to DS. Actually took us longer to get from our room out of the hotel than from it into DS. We had a very nice room, easily as nice as a Deluxe one.

Try the discount hotel finders like Expedia. We went onto Hilton's website but found later we probably could have saved more through one of those services.

If you don’t have an ECV or wheelchair necessitating a shuttle I’d stay wherever you want and just take a rideshare to Disney Springs.

Try plugging in a whole new trip with your entire dates bc I saw pofq for your entire date range for $317 (garden view). Sometimes it’s easier to book a whole new trip vs. modifying other times the reverse is true.

These are the offsite hotels that participate in Disney's Early Theme Park Entry. On Priceline right now, a room at one of the Hotel Plaza Blvd locations on 10/22/22 is $157-$244 and they offer limited shuttle service (included with your room, I believe) to the parks and Disney Springs. The only one with terrible reviews is B Resort. Hotel Plaza Blvd is the street that ends at the Marketplace in Disney Springs, so if you get a room at one of those hotels, it's within walking distance (less than 0.7 miles to the furthest hotel) or a short Uber ride if you cannot wait for a shuttle. Check for any added resort fees before booking.
