Need a quick answer, please! Sci-Fi or Hollywood and Vine

We have a large group - 10 adults and 8 kids, ages 6,6,11,11,11,13,14 and 15 - and are all on the dining plan.

For Thursday, October 6, we are considering dinner at Sci-Fi or Hollywood & Vine. I was thinking Sci-Fi for dinner, but the H&V menu sounds good, so I am wondering if we should do an early lunch at Sci-Fi and pay cash, then do dinner and use our dining plan at H&V.

What do you think?

The kids would probably really enjoy Sci Fi! But you sit in cars that hold probably 6-10 people! So, with your group size you will need multiple cars! If you don't mind not sitting together I would reccomend it!

That's a tough one. Sci-Fi would definitely be good for your group since it's themed so greatly. But H&V does have a fantastic menu!! I'd probably opt for a very early lunch at Sci-Fi (and let everyone know to eat lightly) and a later dinner at H&V. H&V has lots of great food to choose from, so you'll want to make sure to have plenty of room to fill up.

Personally I didn't like H & V but if you do I would say do both. Or if you chose to eat to Sci-Fi (my DD12 loves it) I would say pay for the kids meals out of pocket. Its $4.99 and a beverage is included.

Maybe if 4 of the kids eat off the kids menu and you pay out of pocket, the sit down meal creditsnot used could be used for a special signature dinner for Mom and Dad alone. It would be worth the $20.

They may have room at Sci-fi for big parties like that in the back of the Drive-in, where they have picnic tables... They might be able to combine two of those tables for that matter.

Sci-Fi is the only place I've eaten at MGM so far. I love it! The kids probably will too (presuming the younger ones aren't afraid of the dark or cheesy old movie monsters).

My DS (almost 15) an I had dinner at Hollywood and Vine last month and were very disappointed in the offerings. He could not find much to eat but did enjoy their desserts. I had a LOT of salmon becuase nothing else was really too good. We ate there a couple of years ago and the choices were much better at that time. We do not plan on returning in the future.

Even though I called right at 7 am and got right through, the CM could not find space for all of us at Sci-Fi for dinner.

So, I booked Sci-Fi for lunch and H&V for dinner. I may cancel H&V, but Sci-Fi does seem like a good place to try to pay cash and save TS credits for other restaurants.

We just ate at H&V on Tuesday and had a great meal. They had flank steak, yummy roasted chicken, a few pasta dishes, great fresh green beans, salads and my husband said the apple cobbler was delicious! It was our first time dining there and we will go back for sure!
