I just found out today that DH has a conference in Orlando in June and I'm going with him!! We will be staying at the Gaylord Palms for the conference, but want something a little more economical for the 2 nights we're going to have to pay. There is a shuttle launch scheduled for the time we will be there, so we are going to go to the space center one night. I'd like to be near WDW since my mouth is watering for some of the bread pudding at Raglan Road. Would prefer to not have to pay for parking and breakfast included would be nice. (Although I could give and take on those if the hotel were a great deal.) Looking at 3* and up. Any suggestions? (I haven't stayed off-site in Orlando in over 20 years, so this is a good opportunity for me to get off the grounds and see if I like it or not. I just have no idea where to start!) Thanks!

You might be able to get a good rate for Comfort Suites Main Gate East. They have free parking and free deluxe continental breakfast with a make your own waffle area. I have booked the before through hotelmartusa.com for about $80, but others have found a better price through this link

If it is off season, you will be able to get it for $69.

Why don't you use Priceline? I've had great success with it. On the website biddingfortravel.com., you can learn what the available hotels are and see what prices for various hotels other folks have successfully bid. There are quite a few Priceline three star hotels in the WDW area.

Thanks for the replies. I checked and the Comfort Suites would be $99/night for my dates. We may end up trying Priceline. Or maybe a Mousesavers deal will come along.

Don't forget the link through Smarter Travel with which you can get the Choice Hotels for ~20% off. I don't have the link handy, but just go to Smarter Travel, look for the family discounts section, and the link should be there.

Hope that helps!
