Need a little prayer and magic...my computer crashed this morning

Well I guess all of the fun stuff that I have been making has finally caught up with my computer as it crashed this morning...or actually last night in the middle of the night. I took it to the doctor first thing and I'm hoping that it is a simple fix. So on that note...send a few prayers and disney magic my way. I won't be on the Boards until it is up and running again. I had to go to my in-laws just to send this message.

They are supposed to let me know in 24 hours what they can do. In the meantime, I had just finished everything for my nieces Amazing Race Birthday party in two weeks. I'm so hoping all of the clue cards don't get lost as I don't think I can remember all of the rhymes and clues I had come up with...

OMG, Pixie Dust is definitely heading your way. !

You will be missed greatly (even if it is only for 24 hours)

We had that happen a few months ago and I lost a lot of stuff (but not everything so don't worry) but we have since signed up for Carbonite.com that backs up everything (no size limit). I am sure that there are other things out there but it definitely makes me feel better to know everything is backed up.

Oh no!!!I know exactly how you feel. Mine crashed just a while ago. I managed to fix it myself but was panicking that I'd have to take it elsewhere. An external hard drive doesn't help when there's nothing to plug it in to. Best of luck and lot's of pixie dust.

I am so sorry to read this, I really hope you can recover everything. I have two externals so I am really paranoid! I have gotten a couple of virus's and was able to patch things up myself. I couldn't even go one day without my PC I hope it comes back to you soon and everything gets recovered. If anyone deserves that it's YOU! You are so kind hearted and creative and maybe the PC gods will recognize that!

Thanks for all of the well wishes...luckily I have an external hard drive so most of the disney things I do are on it...I just didn't put the upcoming party stuff on it. My hard drive does have to be replaced ($200) and they think they were able to recover everything. Keeping my fingers crossed!!! I should be back up and running later today or tomorrow...if the roads aren't to icy to go pick it up. I live in Texas and we are supposed to get 2-4 inches today. My little one is soo excited about the "snow!"

LOL - FUNNY HUH............... they shut down the schools and everything here today - we got SNOW!!!! It snowed for 3 hours and it didn't even stick!!! LOL

What northerners don't think about is we maybe get snow once every 4 years so we are totaly unprepared and don't have equipment like sand trucks to help with icy bridges and roads. Mostly it is just the icy bridges that get us. I have driven in Germany so driving in snow doesn't bother me...it's just the other drivers that don't know how that scare me to death as they swerve all over the road.

Sorry your hard drive crashed, but glad you got your pc back, and as for the snow, I understand, here in Arizona, snow would set everyone back a bit
