I'm wondering if the DCL ladies/moms bring any sort of bag along with them to the dinners? Is it common to see women bringing a bag of some sort to the dinners? Is it unusual? I am wondering about packing a nice dressier wristlet for my cellphone (DCL app/communicating) and tissues... )

Also, is a shower gel included in the h2o products in the bathroom, or just bar soap?

Thank you, 4 more days!!

I bring a small Vera Bradley cross body with me around the ship to carry around hand lotion, hand sanitizer, my phone, and my key to the world. Outside the first night I didn't notice if anyone else was carrying a purse but don't feel uncomfortable about it. If you eat at Remy they even have a stool for you to place it on. Shower gel is not included in non-concierge staterooms.

I also wore a cross body purse for phone, lipstick, etc. A wristlet would work too.

I thought we had shower gel (not concierge), but maybe I am wrong!

My wife switches to a small bag to carry just the essentials when she gets onboard (tissues, meds, hard candies). I put all my normal pocket things in the safe, since there is no need for a wallet, keys, or small change while onboard.

Never had shower gel, some people have reported that you can get some if you ask your stateroom host, other were not successful.

I bring a small bag, little larger than wristlets size for dinners. I originally brought it for formal night and Palo as it is a bit fancier. It is a bag that I never get to use much as I find it too small for most other occasions on land. So, I just brought it to finally have a reason to use it. And I loved having it so much, that it goes to dinner with me every evening on the cruise.

I'm a no-purse girl anyway. Definitely not on a cruise!

I think the gel is only in concierge.

Nope, never carry a purse on cruises, I hand everything off to my husband in the evenings and he puts them in his pockets :)

As others have said only bar soap for shower and sink.
I usually bring a liquid shower soap with me.

I had a small fancy purse on formal and semi formal nights to hold my keycard (so that I wasn't wearing a lanyard with a nice dress), phone, and maybe some lip stuff.

I never carried a handbag or clutch to dinner. Just one more thing I'd probably lay down on the table and forget :-P

I carry a small purse/bag. DS has food allergies so I need a way to carry his epipen/benedryl. From what I've seen, I don't think you would stand out either way - - a fair mix of both.

I wore my black Vera Bradley crossbody purse throughout the cruise. I had to keep the wave phone with me half the time and that is how I carried my KTTW, my girls' KTTW, and camera with me.

Except when I go swimming, I always carry some sort of handbag on cruises. I have prescription sunglasses that I wind up switching to during the day and some medication that I have to have with food, so stocking up my bag and carrying it with me is more convenient for me than running back and forth to the cabin to get stuff. I usually take a small crossbody Bagallini and a more formal evening handbag, and that usually covers it. Of course, I also have a larger handbag that holds travel documents, wallet, etc.

I wish I didn't have to but I have three kids! I always take a Vera Bradley with me on the cruise. Not that small either. I end up carrying a sippy cup, cameras, phone, wave phone and maybe some makeup with me. I can't help it. Im so used to carrying all their stuff and mine.
Maybe when they are married, I can go to dinner sans a purse!

Since I use the Navigator app on my smartphone, I usually carry a small wristlet "phone wallet" that has an outside zippered compartment which holds my mini-hand sanitizer, mini (folding) comb and a slim lipstick. I also bring a small crossbody bag for in ports. You should do whatever is comfortable for you and that you are used to, so you won't forget it somewhere. One thing to keep in mind though is that in the MDRs it is really not appropriate to place even a wristlet on the table if you are dining with others at a full table. There is simply not room without crowding others and making things difficult for the servers. Mine is small enough to keep in my lap or tuck beneath my leg on the chair.

I sometimes bring a small wristlet. Usually so that I can carry my phone in case of wanting to take pictures. We've often had characters come in for a short visit and missed taking photos so now I like to have it with me. I also don't like to wear a lanyard if I'm wearing a nice dress like on semi-formal or formal night or at Remy or Palo's so I'll bring my wristlet to also put my KTTW card into it. I don't bring it every night - it's nice to just go to dinner with my hands completely free but maybe 50% of the time I bring it.

I take a small crossbody. It's just big enough to hold phone, chapstick/gloss, KTTW and sunglasses. It's small enough that I just toss it in the beach bag. Works well if we need to take the wave phone with us too. I prefer a crossbody to a wristlet or clutch because my hands are free. I don't have to worry about setting it down and forgetting it.
