We are headed to the world in 2 weeks (woohoo!!!). We are on the dining plan, and it is me, the hubby, and our 10 year old daughter. I am wanting to cancel our California Grill dinner It just seems like such a waste of 2 meal credits for us. We are staying at the Poly (something not to hard to get to would be nice, lol). These are the other ressies that I have booked for the week:

Breakfasts:

Be Our Guest

Lunches:

Akershus
Be Our Guest
Tusker House
Crystal Palace

Dinners:

Kona Cafe
Teppan Edo
Raglan Road
Hoop De Doo
The Wave
Spirt of Aloha
Ohana
Raglan Road
La Hacienda de San Angel

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!!!!

We enjoy Whispering Canyon at Wilderness Lodge, and it's generally a place you can get an ADR with fairly short notice. You can take the boat there from the Poly.

There are some really great breakfasts on property if you guys like breakfast.
Make sure you have a good breakfast to give you fuel to start your day!

Tusker House in AK is one of our faves. (Character breakfast/lunch/dinner 1 credit on the DDP) We prefer breakfast
Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club is good. (Character breakfast 1 credit on the DDP and dinner is no characters, but a seafood buffet!)
Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge is very good. (1 credit on the DDP) they serve breakfast and dinner. No characters.
I like dinner at Boatwrights at Port Orleans Resort.
Dinner and breakfast at Grand Floridian Cafe was good too.

We really like The Grand Floridian Café. I love being in the Grand Floridian lobby and hearing the band or the pianist play Disney songs. When my girls dressed up for a 1900 Park Fare dinner, they danced with several others by the piano like they were at a ball. 1900 is another suggestion, but I like the food MUCH better at the café.

I have eaten at Kona twice and The wave. We REALLY liked the Grand Floridian Cafe on our last trip. In fact we weren't impressed by the Wave and felt the Kona Cafe went down hill a bit. The Grand Floridian had a delicious steak

Another vote for Grand Floridian Cafe. Consistently delicious and great service (at least the 5 or so visits that we've had there).

Since you are on the DDP and need to use 2 credits if you cancel CA Grille, I would highly recommend Yachtsman Steakhouse at the YC. It is delicious.
We also like Jiko at the AKL, but that is not easy to get to
Good Luck

Boma at AKL for either breakfast or dinner. It's our favorite, although it might be a challenge to get to. We also enjoyed Sanaa at AKV. Ditto the suggestion for Whispering Canyon for dinner. I've heard great things about Artist Point at WL but haven't eaten there myself. That said, we enjoyed our Cali Grill meal a few years ago, and the kids liked the "fancier" dinner and view.

Staying close to the Poly, Grand Floridian Cafe or Whispering Canyon would be our choices. If you're willing to adventure beyond that then I'd suggest Sanaa at AKL. Besides the amazing animal views, it is in my opinion the best single credit restaurant on property

We like Whispering Canyon with the kids. They are silly and the food is amazing.

If you are looking for a 1 credit meal near Poly, I would do GF Cafe or even consider 1900 Park Fare breakfast or dinner (if you want another character meal). If you would like a 2 TS meal, I would do Artist Point at WL - it's great!

If you're willing to do a 2TS meal, I second Artist Point. I'm assuming that Citricos is a 2TS meal...I haven't been, but my family love it.

If you want to have 2 1TS meals, then go for GF Cafe and Whispering Canyon. I haven't been to either, but family members with similar tastes to mine have, and they vouch for both. Both are easy to get to, and both are beautiful to walk around and enjoy!
