Need a good reply

I Need someone who is really good with words to help me with a reply to my friend. DD and I are lucky enough to have tickets for Aerosmith this coming Friday night. We are soooo excited! We have a good friend who's first words were 'oh good, you can bring me a t-shirt". I don't mind bring her anything she wants as long as she understands she will need to repay me. We have a lot of expenses right now and a trip to WDW in 10 weeks. I also would never hurt her feelings. My friend is not short of money just sometimes she does not seem to think of re-paying me. Any good ideas?

Why don't you ask her for $20 up front (or however much t-shirts cost now)?

"I'd love to bring you something. Just decide what you want and bring me a list with the $ on Friday before I leave."

I agree with the above post. Say "Sure I would be happy to pick one up for you, why dont you look at their website so you know what you would like and how much it would cost?" Dont wait for a repay especially with her track record. No money up front no shirt.

I just wanted to say that it's totally understandable that you wouldn't pick up a tshirt for your friend- whether or not you can "afford" it. That stuff is EXPENSIVE!

Simply ask her how much she wants to spend???Then ask for the money. FYI- the T's at the Bon Jovi concert were running $35-50! I'd be sure to get the money first!

I agree with asking her what her budget is for the shirt and ask her what day is good for her to drop off the money before the concert.
