we have already done akershus, le cellier, and coral reef. does anyone have any other recommendations for other yummy places to dine in epcot? it can be TS or counter service. it will be for dinner with a 4yo and a 2yo. i guess the only food we probably would not go for is asian.

give me your faves and why...

We love Biergarten--a buffet in Germany with lots to choose from. And your kids would probably love the live entertainment with the band and dancing floor. We also enjoy Rose & Crown in Great Britian.

Ditto the Biergarten. Fun atmosphere and good beer. Probably well overpriced for what is on the buffet. We'll be skipping the Biergarten for others we couldn't get into last time like Coral Reef and Le Cellier.

I also love Biergarten and have to put in a vote for Restaurant Marrakesh. Sunshine Seasons in the Land Pavilion is the best CS restaurant in any of the parks in my opinion.

I second both of these and also add that the cs in Morroco is very good...Tangerine Cafe. Enough food to share and my DS loved it (he was 8 and a very picky eater). The open face sandwiches at Kringola Bakery(Norway) are also great!

Connears

I see that you're leaving soon, so an ADR may be difficult to get...If you want characters, the Garden Grill will still have Chip and Dale for a few more weeks. Many people don't like the food at San Angel Inn, but the atmostphere (especially for little ones) is awesome. I also echo the Biergarten as a fun and lively place. And Tutto Italia is also an option.

If you're looking for counter service, you can do Sunshine Seasons which has something for everyone.

We love Coral Reef and your kids will get a coloring page (bring some of your own crayons- they pnl;y give one to each child) to identify fish in the tank.

:thumbsup2 The other place we would recommend is Garden Grill.:thumbsup2

Italy :thumbsup2

My vote is for GG.:thumbsup2 The food is good, with lots of basics for toddlers and characters! Also, it's a sit down, which I think is a plus with small kids--I hate taking turns at the buffett and missing characters.:headache:

I always love going to the Biergarten. also, on my last trip to Epcot I eat at Les Chefs de France and both the Food/wine and service was amazing

I seccond Italy!! Its used to be called Alfredo's but has a ew name... their Fettuccini Alfredo was always so amazing! We didnt eatthere this trip, however we did at the Counter Service place in Mexico! Not sure what they name is, but its always good! Especially the margaritas!! :thumbsup2 The Biergarten is fun too!:wizard:

okay, thank you all!!

i think i will call today and try for biergarten or garden grill. although the live music and dancing has TONS of appeal for my kids (not to mention the fact that our "noise" will likely be absorbed ;) ) i REALLY like the idea of sit-down or family style. i will call and see what happens. if there is nothing, no biggie, we will just stroll around and hit the CS places that appeal that night. i LOVE middle-eastern food so tangeriene cafe sounds great, too!

I second Marrakesh in Morocco. your little girl will love to dance with the belly dancer!!!

but Biergarten is a close 2nd.

Love the food and atmosphere in Morroco and Chefs de France....France has a great kids meal burger, best I ever had!:thumbsup2

Biergarten is one of our favorites and a great setting for kids to have fun - they always invite them to get out on the dance floor and dance around with them and do a great job getting them involved. Plus, it gets the kids to burn off some excess energy, which might help keep them more managable for the more "boring" adult things.
