This evening I learned that in September I get to spend two nights in Disney! It's been 7 years since my last trip and I'm sure everything has changed in regards to room rates, packages, etc. I'll start pouring through these boards and researching asap, but if anyone could give me a quick update on the major changes and the best way to get good rate on a room, I'd REALLY appreciate it.

Let the planning begin!! :)

Right now, if you go to the Disney website, and click on the "Special Offers" tab, you will be able to see the discounts available. For September, there are two separate discounts: "Free" Dining and a room only percentage discount (it can be made into a package). Both are open to the general public, but availability will vary.

There's also an AP discount and a 40% off military discount both of which you have to call for (unless you have a current AP and can access the website that way).

Mousesavers.com has all the codes listed, so if you would rather call, you could provide the CM on the phone with the code for the particular discount you want to try. Some CMs don't require it and will apply it without the actual code, but some won't.

If you do it online, you have to go through the link provided on the website.
