Need a Baggallini report, please!

Move over crocs, here comes Baggallini!

On another post, someone listed her Baggallini messenger bag (available at ebags.com) as a "must have." I am eager to hear from someone who, ideally, made the switch from a waist-pack bag to a Baggallini messenger bag.

I love my waist pack (worn in front) for hands-free and instant access benefits. What's hard is that it's just a *little* too small, and once we buy water bottles I'm lugging those around. I have a tiny nylon bag that I can take out and use to carry purchases -- I attach it to the belt of the waist pack. By this point, trailing an extra bag and water bottles, I look quite fashionable :rotfl2: and so much for hand-free.

How hard/easy is it to manage a bag that sits on your back? Is the inconvenience outweighed by the benefit of being able to fit everything in one place? Eager for reports!

I'm having a hard time invisioning this. Do you have a link you could send me? I know other posters mentioned that they are available on Ebay but I'm not an Ebay'er so I'm not sure I would find the right style that you are talking about.

TIA,
Alice

This is the messenger bag from baggallini.

I got one last spring on e-bay new for $16. Also you can get 20% off on E-bags if you follow the link from Mousesavers:http://www.mousesavers.com/merchandise.html#ebags

I LOVE my baggallini messenger bag! It is absolutely perfect for my Disney trips. I usually travel with other people who are not family. This means that I carry it all day every day without handing the bag to someone else for a break. This also means that I dont stuff it with anyone else's stuff. :thumbsup2

As someone else has said, the buckle in front is a little heavy but once I am wearing it, I dont notice it. The bag fits everything I possibly need and it has wonderful compartments so everything can easily be found. When I need something, I can easily and quickly slide the bag around to the front so I can reach in it (or dig around) without taking it off. The nylon of the bag is also easy to clean with a damp washcloth.

I just purchased the Baggalini wallet bag for our upcomin trip in May. It is made from nylon and comes in lots of great colors, not very large though. I am planning on using it across my chest and putting money, chapstick and other small items in it, should be perfect for this. The straps do change so you can use it as a fanny pack if you choose to.

We also got the ticket holder from Baggalini so my DH can keep tickets, Fastpass and money in this right around his neck. Not sure if we will need this, this is our first Disney trip!!! It seemed to make sense though for easy access to everything, it did cost 14.99 which my DH thought was alot of money!! :confused3

Thank you for posting the Mousesavers discount link! I just used it and ordered the orange messenger bag. I've been debating for a week on whether to buy one and the discount pushed me off the fence, now I can't wait till it gets here. :rotfl: Does anyone know if there estimated delivery dates are pretty accurate? I don't have much time to play with. It's suppose to be here on the 13th and we leave on the 18th. I picked the orange one, but it was hard to decide on a color. :cool1:

"reader" -- thanks for the Travelon tip -- that looks interesting, too.

LiteBrite -- thanks for the update; I am glad to know that it IS possible to swing the bag front-to-back while wearing it because I am sure I would want to do that.

It appears that links/pictures have been posted to answer everyone's inquiries (thanks to everyone for the input)....

Ilovestitch, what is the name of that bag you show? I am thinking I might need a messenger for the parks and that for souvenirs.

Did anyone notice this bag comes in DIS lime green? ;) :thumbsup2
I think I'll order one for our next trip too, thanks for the info!

I just got mine in last week and will be using it next week. I did put everything in it, to see how it would feel and I have to say, I love it!

I got black so that it wouldn't show dirt. That's a lie. I got black so DH would carry it too, and he did prance around the house carrying it, all the while calling it his murse. I told him to get used to it, because as soon as his camera went in it, he was sharing "murse" responsibilities.

FYI - with the mousesavers link of 20% you dont get the free shipping, standard is only $4.95, still a savings - thanks for the link and the info -

I'll be stylin, Bag and Crocs to match!! :rotfl2:

Seriously I always carry a large Land's End Duffle bag - carry on luggage, and in the park it holds EVERYTHING... and I loose EVERYTHING!! Last year dh got a little bit annoyed when I couldnt find our tickets!!

I checked out sling bags in the Targets, and WalMarts, I think this is one that will do great!! :cool1:

hmmm. Do you think I could fit some diapers and wipes in that bag? It looks big enough. I don't feel like lugging a diaper bag around the parks if I can avoid it. And this looks like it might work? LIME GREEN TOO!! can't ask for more than that!(although DH is on to me with the lime green and has threatened to boycot his shirt of the day if I add any more lime to our lives! :rotfl2: ) Wait until he sees the green mickey heads hanging from his ball cap :rotfl2:

I found this thread because I did a "search" for threads about Crocs (I am now a Crocaholic thanks to these darned boards) anyway, now I've gone and purchased a Baggallini!!! Only moments ago I had never heard of a Baggallini, and now I am the proud owner of a Lime Green Baggallini! Thanks alot! But seriously folks, I think I am going to love my Baggallini for our upcoming Disney trip!!! And the lime green will look awesome with my new lime green Crocs! :thumbsup2

I hear that Bonnie!! :goodvibes

So my bagallini came yesterday - am I the only one that is uncomfortable with the strap around my chest? :confused3

My ds 20 :lmao: and said "well its a HUGE improvement over the fanny pak!" :lmao: When he stops laughing, I may talk to him again!!

I tried working it over the shoulder, filled it with a passporter btw for weight, I think it will be ok - dh says, "if this keeps you from digging like the Land's End bag - its worth it!!" :rotfl:

It may be like the fannie pak - only for Parks... oh and flea markets...

:rotfl2:

I have a bag similar to the one IloveStitch has and used for their laundry and souviners.

Mine's is not a bagellini but similar to pass on this use for it.

I use mine for my flights. I started using it for souviners back when I got it. Then in recent years because I usually fly to FL when it's chilly at home I have at least a my jean coat and don't always need the coat when we arrive or the morning we fly out so I would store the coat in this folding bag and hand it over with the luggage to the luggage barn. On the way to the airport I didn't have to wear a heavy coat and when it came time to board was able to fold it up and slip it in my backpack (usually cold on the planes for me so I use the coat).

Another way I've used it these past 2 trips is I have now picked up a small travel pillow and blanket so I can be warm and sleeping on my morning flights ;) I stuff these 2, along with my Pal Mickey in my bag and then at the gate unpack them and store my bag again in the backpack. Then toss them all back in upon arrival.

Loving this system! Makes my life at the airport easier.

Mom has another similar bag she too packs for souviners.

I'm going to check out that message bag too, I would like a bag slighly bigger then what my fanny bag is offering.

I have ordered a BAggalini Messanger Bag for my upcoming trip in April. The best deal presently on the web is at ebags where the total is less than $32 with free shipping.

HI!!!!!!!!! :wave2:

I have the crocs (The whole family is decked out in them) but I guess I don't have the right bag. Not sure how well it will work with a child carrier hip pack, but now that she is walking I don't think I will use it at much.

Two questions:

1. Ladies, is this strap uncomfortable across your chest?

2. Would a largish camera -- a Canon Rebel -- fit in this bag? I hate carrying a camera bag.

I'm gonna be a rebel on this one. My husband and I went to the Orvis store (fishing gear), but they sell other neat stuff too. Hubbs got a new suitcase for our upcoming disney trip, b/c the ones we have will be filled to the rim with my junk. He's excited that his new suitcase will hold a fly fishing rod.

Back on track. I got the Orvis Safe Passage sling bag for WDW. I'm in love with this thing. It is so comfy and it has a pouch that can be moved around to different positions on the bag. I will keep it attached to the chest strap for easy access to the passes and camera.

I am very close to ordering a Baggallini messenger bag (in rip-stop nylon) for an upcoming trip to WDW. I am torn between buying Black or Khaki (I feel compelled to get a neutral color). My concern is that the Black will get hot when carried in the sun and any food items (such as chocolate bars) will melt. Can anyone let me know if this could or has happened to you? I'm also thinking about how useful it wil be on day hiking/biking treks and have the same concern there. Thanks for ALL the wonderful info I'm getting on these boards.

Ok, I have a question about this Baggallini. I used to carry a nylon backpack but noticed that when I would sweat the bag would get wet (from wearing tanktops). It was kind of disgusting! Does the baggallini do well if you sweat in the humidity down there? Thanks to anyone who can field my disgusting question
