Need a 1 TS recomendation instead of Le Cellier

We really liked the Trails End buffet at the Wilderness Campgrounds. It was down home cooking, pretty good, not crowded at all, so we got a lot of attention from the staff. And visiting the Campgrounds was a nice deviation from the parks. There are playgrounds, horse drawn carriage rides, walking trails. We enjoyed our little time away from the crowds and the noise.

We had a lot of fun at WCC. Good food and fun antics. My daughter (4) had a blast, especially with the ketchup and the stick pony rides. This was one of her favorites. Kona had very good food as well, though not very exciting for the little ones.

CRT is a waste, imho. We've now eaten all three meals there and I can't recommend CRT for any of them. Two weeks ago we had breakfast. It was rushed, the princesses were not friendly or personable at all, in fact, I made a complaint about Belle's rudeness (wouldn't wait for my 4 year old to wipe her sticky hands clean, told her, I've got to move on to the next table.) The food is very basic, nothing special, not worth the price or the 2TS credit. We'll continue to go to Akershus if we want to see the princesses.

What is WCC? :confused3 I'm in the process of booking my dining ressies now and don't want to book a nasty place :lmao: I usually go to the same places over and over and trying to venture out this time. Anyone have an opinion on Cinderella's Royal Table, Hollywood & Vine or Tusker House? TIA

Cinderella's Royal Table was MY personal favorite restaurant. I had the prime rib and it was the best meal I had all week (loved the potatoes, too!) Went during free dining, so the price wasn't an issue, but to pay OOP for a kids hot dog would be insane - it's not worth it (the swords are already broken). My 3 year old son was bowled over by Cinderella. We went during dinner, the fairy godmother's act was kind of hokey, but overall I enjoyed the experience.

We breakfast at Hollywood & Vine and loved it. No complaints about the food. We had a problem with the entertainment handler girl (she came over to us and asked us if we were done yet - between all the meet and greets and getting the 3 kids fed, my husband had barely had a chance to eat a bite of his cold eggs - when we complained to our waitress, she told us it was not the restaurant's policy, if we wanted to we could stay all day long).

My husband's favorite restaurant was Coral Reef. He had the steak and loved it. We both had the butterscotch creme brulee and it was excellent. We went for lunch and I had the lobster salad - not what I expected but very good. Make sure you request a personalized menu, very nice!!!!

Our worst meal of the week was at Crystal Palace. Pooh and friends were great but the food was not to our liking. Very heavy in spices.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am still trying to figure it all out. DH of course is no help. He just said "Whatever. If it sucks I will just torture you all night that it was your pick." Not that he has helped at all. LOL

Biergarten is not my thing. I looked at the menu and some food pics and its not my thing.

The clam bake was an option but it seems odd to go somewhere for diner with a theme based on where we live. My kids go to school in Cape May, NJ and we see Lucy the elephant regularly so we want a change of pace.

Tutto Italia, Kona, Coral Reef, and Teppan Edo are now on my list. As fas as Teppan Edo goes how loud is it? The cooking noises banging that kind of thing. My DD has PDD and one of the things that sets her off and gets her really anxious and starting to stim are certain noises. One is the sizzling sound when cooking and clanging. So I am thinking that will be out as well.

My ADR for Le Cellier is for 12/22 at 7:30. I think at this point I may be stuck either just canceling and doing CS or keeping it.

WCC is Whispering Canyon Cafe - we ate there about 10 days ago. The food was great and we had an absolute blast!

CRT, nice but overpriced, I've never been to H & V or Tusker House so can't coment on those.

We are booked for Le Cellier in Dec for our trip but I am second guessing that ADR. I'm just not sold on the menu and the pics just aren't doing it for me. So what would you suggest to replace it. We are doing the storybook princess breakfast early so we will have a full day in Epcot so it doesn't have to be in Epcot. We are already dining at WCC, 50's PT, chef Mickeys, O'hana, Akershurs, 1900 Park Faire, and Crystal Palace. Its DH, me and our kids ages 8,7,and 6. If that helps at all.

I really liked Le Cellier and our server was amazing with our kids ( then 9, 12 and 15 ). But that being said...

Have you considered Boma at the Animal Kingdom Lodge? Or if you do stay at Epcot, Chefs de France, Rose and Crown or Biergarten? The latter offers a really fun atmosphere for the family.

( did I mention we really enjoyed Le Cellier? )

Not long ago, I changed our ADR for Le Cellier to The Coral Reef. I just didn't think our kids would enjoy Le Cellier. I then contacted Debbi about a diver and personalized menus at The Coral Reef and will them both unless something happens. I think the kids will end up loving this so much more. When I called to let go of Le Cellier, the guy said it wouldn't last more than a couple minutes because its in high demand. Thats another reason I'm glad we gave it up, because being crowded would not be good for my kids after a long day at the park.

What are they? And how do you get a diver with a special message for your child? That sounds so great, but I don't know how to do any of it. Thank you in advance!!:flower3:

Coral Reef is a good choice - it's also going to be 2TS next year so try it now while it's still 1TS

You have to contact Debbi at Coral Reef. Do a search on her for personalized menu and you should find out the info to contact her. We aren't allowed to give her email address out per her request. But once you leave a message for her she will contact you and you can exchange email addresses then. There are very limited divers available so don't be surprised if there are none available for your ADR time.

WCC is Whispering Canyon Cafe and I think one of the better family table restaurants. It is a must do each trip. I wouldn't blame the food on someone getting sick right after eating there. It sounds like there was something else that could have happened to get sick. We have eaten there over 15 times, always getting the skillet, and love it. We are eating there again next week!

I am not a fan of Coral Reef anymore. Quality has really gone downhill as far as I'm concerned. We did lunch at Yak n Yeti in June and it was really good. We did the tableservice and not the carry out. We are going back there too next week!
