We are booked for Le Cellier in Dec for our trip but I am second guessing that ADR. I'm just not sold on the menu and the pics just aren't doing it for me. So what would you suggest to replace it. We are doing the storybook princess breakfast early so we will have a full day in Epcot so it doesn't have to be in Epcot. We are already dining at WCC, 50's PT, chef Mickeys, O'hana, Akershurs, 1900 Park Faire, and Crystal Palace. Its DH, me and our kids ages 8,7,and 6. If that helps at all.

Coral Reef would be fun for the kids. You get to eat and watch the fishies swim on by and they have really decent food for both adults and the wee ones.

But, I really liked Le Cellier.

We've eaten at all of the places you've listed, so our tastes our probably similar.

On a whim on our recent trip (just got back!!) we walked to Coral Reef and were promptly seated for 5:00. We're not fish eaters, but both dh and I got the steak and it was wonderful. The chocolate wave dessert was fabulous! DD loved the atmosphere. It was relaxing and a great change of pace from all the hectic character meals.

:) I would recommend Teppan Edo (Epcot - Japan). We have gone there the past two visits and are going again in a few weeks. Your kids are at the age where I believe they would love watching the hibachi chef. And, yes, the food is great!

We love LeCellier--it's our favorite meal every trip, and was again this year (I have pictures of what we ate earlier this month). We did WCC and it was the worse meal of our trip (DH got sick after eating the skillet). We like 50's Prime Time, Chef Mickey's and LOVE CP. Didn't care for Akershus (but we did lunch). How about Biergarten in Germany? It is a buffet and the kids might get a big kick out of the live entertainment? I can't recommend anything at a resort becasue we didn't like WCC and we had to cancel Boma; we only eat at Fulton's at Downtown Disney (not fans of Planet Hollywood or Rainforest--have them in Chicago and find them overpriced for mediocre food). I've heard good things about Kona at Polynesian and Spoodles gets some really good reviews.

another vote for coral reef - that aquarium is sooooo peaceful to gaze at while dining (regardless of where you're seated - actually, further back is better, you get more of a "panorama" view)

Ditto-Coral Reef is my new favorite.::yes::

my vote is for KONA we just loved it ...wonderful service/food/desserts
Le Cellier not one of my favs lately just MHO :worship:

What is WCC? :confused3 I'm in the process of booking my dining ressies now and don't want to book a nasty place :lmao: I usually go to the same places over and over and trying to venture out this time. Anyone have an opinion on Cinderella's Royal Table, Hollywood & Vine or Tusker House? TIA

That is reason enought to do Coral Reef, entertainment value! We also loved our food at lunch: bbq salmon sandwich, kids pizza(good size too) and I think the talapia. I have never been to LeCellier, but I think your read with the 3 kids in tow is probably right on. Even if you ended up loving your meal, probably not so fun for them. The restaurant is described as small, dark, tables close together.

I vote for Teppan Edo. AND when are you thinking about cancelling your dinner at Le Cellier? We couldn't get a dinner reservation for Le Cellier from Nov.30 - Dec.13 and we LOVE it.

Tutto Italia! We just ate there a few weeks ago-it was amazing. Great food, great scenery-excellent service!

We hated Coral Reef and will not eat there again. We enjoyed Germany"s Biergarten and we have enjoyed Mexico's San Angel Inn many times.

Our last trip we tried the "Clambake" at Cape May and love it. I don't know where you are staying so this might not be fun if you already stay in this area but we went out the back gate of Epcot and walked over to Beach Club for dinner. It was a very short walk and after dinner we sat on the beach and watched the kids play in the sand and the lights began to come on at the Boardwalk and it was fun. It was a great way to relax for a little while and the sand felt good on our tired feet. We got some great sand pictures of the kids as the sun went down they are some of my favorites. The food was really good and they had plenty of choices for everyone. Lots of different desserts from some of the other TS we had eaten. I'm not a seafood person but they had tons of other choices. They give the kids crayons to color on the tablecloth but there are no characters for dinner.

WCC is Whispering Canyon Cafe. We did not like it and won't go back (DH got sick after eating there), but a lot of people really love it for the antics that supposedly go on. Have never done Cinderella's Royal Table (don't have girls, and our boys would rather die than eat in a castle with princesses), Hollywood & Vine is one of three Disney restaurants we will NEVER go to again and we've never tried Tusker House; in fact, we never ate at a table service at Animal Kingdom until this year when we ate at Yak & Yeti.

What did you think of Yak & Yeti? I'm thinking of switching our Tusker House ressie to Yak & Yeti? I've read a good review about it and I think the menu is a little more to our liking popcorn::

Here is the review I did of Yak & Yeti from our September 3 date there:

Yak & Yeti. I was a little leary of this place because I had read mixed reviews. However, my DH really likes this type of food (I'm not crazy) for it, so I said we'd give it a try. I am so glad we did. If it had not been for LeCellier, it could have taken #1 in our favorites. Shelley & Tom had the Shaoxing Steak & Shrimp and gave it two thumbs up (I tried a piece of the steak and it was great). DH had the Duck with Anadapur Glaze with Jasmine Rice and Stir Fried Vegtables and cleaned his plate. I had the Sweet/Sour Pork with White Rice and Stir Fried Vegetables. I wish there had been more Sweet/Sour Pork--it was that good and I finished the entire plate (excpet vegetables--not a big vegetable eater--especially stir fried).
We had the Mango Pie and Chocolate Brownie Sundaes for dessert (we boxed three of them to take back to the CSR because we were stuffed).
