Need a 1 day rental for day after thanksgiving-best options?

We're flying into MCO on thanksgiving day. We would like to head over to the space center on Friday. I looked at the shuttle options, and I think we would be better off with renting a car for the day. This way we're not bound by the shuttle time, and if the kid wants to hang out in the gift shop until the last minute....we can. I really want to take ME to our resort, but would I find a better rate there vs Disney? We rented a car for a day a couple of years ago for a day at Legoland and doing the rental from Disney was super easy. Any advice? Deals?

For one day, it really doesn't matter if you rent at MCO or at Disney. It's more a matter of time. The Car Care Center (Alamo/National)has the best operating hours (6am-8pm). And they'll come and get you. That's what I would likely do. You can get a car for ~$50.
