Necessity of stroller for 6 year old in November?

This will be my first vacation in almost 18 years without a stroller. My five year old likely won’t need one, but I’m lamenting nothing to carry my gear in. We are ripe drop to kick-us-out people everywhere we go and I like to have a lot of stuff with me to make our day pleasant and lots of big-family hacks. I may rent a stroller. LOL

LOL. I read a review from someone who's rental included a double stroller and she'd also brought her stroller from home. There was a picture showing both strollers bursting with things. It was pretty comical.

We don't bring much into the parks, but having a stroller allows us to not carry a backpack. I'd trade the freedom of no backpack for the freedom of no stroller any day. I'm looking forward to that day. You could always rent a locker.

I wonder if that review was me. ;)

We used a stroller until my youngest was 7. She needed it. Other kids might not of, but I was glad we had it for her. First of all, she is the slowest walker I’ve ever seen, lol. I didn’t want to be moving at her pace all day. When we were park hopping or walking across the same park we put her in the stroller. We used it to and from the hotel and for any major distances but not from ride-to-ride within the same Land if that makes sense. She also takes medication in the morning and cannot be active for 2 hours after taking it (which includes a lot of walking).
I’d say you know your child best. Do what is best for your family and don’t worry about what anyone else may think. They don’t know your child or your family’s specific needs. Nobody ever gave us a second look and I wouldn’t have cared if they did. If you get there and decide you want a stroller you can always rent one from City Stroller Rentals. We’ve used them before and they are very easy to deal with!
