Nearby Dog Boarding and Training?

Hello,

We will be sailing this December and January and was wondering if there was any recommendation for dog boarding near the port? We are coming from Texas so we won't be able to tour any facilities prior to our arrival. We are hoping for some sort of place that also offers training while being boarded. Thanks for the help and recommendations!

Well, figuring that you're asking about Port Canaveral, I did a search:

I am sorry I don't know of any specifically in PC but last September we boarded our dog at a dog trainers home in Chulota. Which is about 45 minutes or so from PC. He did in kennel training/boarding for 10 days and we came home to a well trained and well cared for Doberman.

I just saw that the PP has some noted that you might want to call or check out their websites and ratings in the area though.

not the advice you are looking for specifically, but i think i would rather leave my dog somewhere close to home where i could see the facilities and meet the staff rather than drive (i assume) many states and maybe find out the place isn't quite what i wanted and then have no options? just a thought.

There is the best friends resort at disneyworl that we have used before. I think you can pay extra for individual training sessions

Personally I would kennel my animals near my home. My dog got sick once while we were on vacation and they brought her to our veterinarian at my request. My dog is allergic to just about everything under the sun so it gives me peace of mind to have her near her regular doctors.
