First, I apologize if there is already a thread on this. I use Google to search these boards and it's really hard to search "Community" on the DisBoards without being directed to the Community Board. So if there is a thread, point me to it. But I had to take my new Thursday night TV obsession to it's own thread before I made my friends on The Office thread angry.

But how about COMMUNITY??? Does anyone else love it? I just LOVE this show. I adore the characters. At first I thought Jeff would be the main character, but really he just holds it all together. I have a new favorite every week. After years without Chevy Chase in our lives, I really think he's channeled his inner-Griswold for this role. There are few actors who could trip over a bunch of musical instruments and have me rolling on the floor laughing. That was pure, classic Griswold genius right there.

The kid who plays Abed...how does he keep a straight face???

The dialog is fast and hysterical. I am always missing 2nd lines because I'm still laughing about the first lines.

I hope this show does well, I want to follow these guys to graduation!

I really wanted to like it because I love Joel McHale, but we watched the first two shows and just couldn't get into it. Did it get better, or did you like it from the beginning? Maybe I'll have to try it again in reruns.

Well, I did like it from the beginning. They had me when Abed started quoting The Breakfast Club on that first episode. :rotfl: I stuck with it and am now getting really attached to the characters. I think Hulu plays it...we're having a rainy weekend, so I may go back and rewatch.

Oh, if you like Joe McHale, there was a funny reference to the E! Network last night. It was fast and easy to miss, though. Doesn't he do a show for E! ?

I've watched and enjoyed from the beginning, but do think it has gotten better.

Best line from last night....."He was horny, so he dropped him....men are evil!"

I really like the show but am a few weeks behind. I am going to try and catch up this weekend.

Yes, he hosts a show called "The Soup" on E! -- it is on every Friday night and shows clips of all the crazy stuff that happens each week on TV. It is hilarious!

Maybe I'll go to hulu and watch the Community shows I've missed.

I maintain a list of television show-specific threads in this message:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2179935

You will note that Community is there. You will also note that if you follow the link it leads back here. (I just added the link to your thread. :rotfl: )

It doesn't suck. I can't really say I love it. It is okay. I know it is partially deliberate, but it seems just too stilted sometimes.

He is incredible.

We think it's hilarious! Abed is definitly a favorite. Loved when he was Batman. I think they've assembled a great cast. Good (mostly) clean fun!

:rotfl::rotfl:

Well, that's something.

I currently watch 2 (two) TV shows (this and The Office), so without a huge basis for comparison, I guess I'm easy to please.

I like Community a lot... especially the last minute or two after the final commercial in the half hour. Always so strange but so funny!!
