Well, based off of the NHL playoff thread I figured I’d see if there were any NBA fans here.

I’m a Sixers fan, so after a rough couple of years I am stoked for the playoffs this year. Trust the process!

I think the Bucks will give the Celtics a series, but the Celtics will win the series. They’ll lose to whoever they play in the second round though.

yeah baby, I got a basketball Jones. Cavs fan, and dont know what to expect since we never really got on a long roll with team, but since we made middle of season trade, i like these young guys with Lebron, I guessing we win the east again but wont be easy. Toronto always a hard team but I dont think they have the right stuff. Boston of course devastated by injuries but the best coach in the East, I suspect next year the town of Boston will end up hating Kyrie, is he gets injured again and wont sign long term. The team I am scared to death of is Philly, they are so loaded, I love everything about them, but they are so young, but they will be great. A side note if Lebron leaves at the end of this year, my bet is the only team he would leave us for is Philly.

Warriors seemed bored most of the year. The last month seemed like they were sleepwalking their way to the playoffs with tons of injuries and the 2nd seed in the west locked up. Curry still isn't back but they're targeting maybe a week to see how his knee is.

Not sure what to make of todays game. The Spurs are obviously kind of old and slow while missing their best player. However, I don't see how they're going to challenge much in this series.

In the West I see Houston is the only serious challenger to the Warriors

Well - the question is whether or not James Harden will be officiated the same way in the postseason as he is in the regular season. He has a habit of falling apart when he's not protected by the refs. It's not that he doesn't theoretically get fouled, but he snaps his head back and then gets to the free throw line on the same level of contact where refs say "play on" with almost anyone else. A lot of his effectiveness comes from defenders being afraid to touch him as well as his initiating contact (sticking his leg/elbow out) and convincing the refs that the defender did it.

That was an excellent game (really 2nd half) to watch last night as a Sixers fan! I think they have a real chance to win the East. Although I don’t think they have quite enough to win it all.

And I agree, out West the only team I see as giving the Warriors a fight are the Rockets.

Go Pacers!

Nice job Pacers!!

you guys are killing me, Lebron never losses an opening round game , you dont do this to superman

Jim Croce
"You Don't Mess Around With Jim"

Uptown got its hustlers
The Bowery got its bums
42nd Street got Big Jim Walker
He's a pool-shootin' son of a gun
Yeah, he big and dumb as a man can come
But he stronger than a country hoss
And when the bad folks all get together at night
You know they all call big Jim "Boss", just because
And they say

You don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with Jim

Well outta south Alabama come a country boy
He say I'm lookin' for a man named Jim
I am a pool-shootin' boy
My name's Willie McCoy
But down home they call me Slim
Yeah I'm lookin' for the king of 42nd Street
He drivin' a drop top Cadillac
Last week he took all my money
And it may sound funny
But I come to get my money back
And everybody say Jack don't you know

You don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with Jim

Well a hush fell over the pool room
Jimmy come boppin' in off the street
And when the cuttin' was done
The only part that wasn't bloody
Was the soles of the big man's feet, ooh
And he was cut in about a hundred places
And he was shot in a couple more
And you better believe
They sung another kind of story
When big Jim hit the floor

Now they say

You don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off that old Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with Slim

Yeah, big Jim got his hat
Find out where it's at
And it's not hustlin' people strange to you
Even if you do got a two-piece custom-made pool cue

Yeah you don't tug on Superman's cape
You don't spit into the wind
You don't pull the mask off the old Lone Ranger
And you don't mess around with Slim

congrats Indiana, I am truly worried , Love Oladidipo

Just saw Harden get away with an offensive foul while he score. Clear stiff-arm to clear the defender. I guess if they let stuff go, then they do that for the offensive fouls too.

Good luck cheering for the cavs to get out of the first round.

Thoughts on the 76ers, lots of people are handing them the ECF win already but they are a young team, while teams like the raps and heat are talented, in the raps case more-so than the 76ers and both of those teams have loads more playoff experience. I just don't see how the young guns of the sixers don't crack under the pressure of the playoffs against battle tested teams. And before you tell me they have won 16 in a row, only 4 of those games were against teams with above .500 win percetage.

I think that sentence should read "the only team I see giving the rockets a fight are the warriors" If the rockets and warriors played, it would be rockets in 5.

Warriors are still getting the best odds to win the NBA championship. Seeing the Rockets play, they look vulnerable. And Curry will probably be back by the 2nd round.
