Navy Seal Chases Down the Killers of his dog.

This is ridiculous. Punks kill a dog. A dog that meant the world to some guy. Then they try to run away.

He chases the bad guys and brings them to justice and HE gets dumped on.

Bunch of crap.

'Course, I'd have voted him "Not Guilty" if he'd shot the punks, too. I'm sick and tired of criminals, thugs and vicious punks getting away with this crap.

Any of ya'll from Texas? You don't kill a man's dog in Texas.

The area they were speeding through were a bunch of Farm to Market roads in the very rural area of Texas. No towns other than a couple of flashing lights at crossroads. He showed tremendous restraint because he could have shot all four and buried them in the woods and no one would have ever been the wiser. It has happend for a lot less.

:thumbsup2

<======= is originally from Texas.

And beer for his horses. ::yes::
A man come on the Six O'Clock News,
said "Somebody's been shot, somebody's been abused,
somebody blew up a building, somebody stole a car,
somebody got away, somebody didn't get too far."
Yeah, they didn't get too far.

Grandpappy told my pappy, "Back in my day, son,
a man had to answer for the wicked thing he done.
Take all the rope in Texas, find a tall oak tree,
round up all of them bad boys, hang 'em high in the streets...
for all the people to see."

We got too many gangsters doing dirty deeds.
Too much corruption and crime in the streets.
It's time the long arm of the law put a few more in the ground.
Send 'em all to their maker and he'll settle 'em on down.
You can bet he'll set 'em down.

Cause justice is the one thing you should always find.
You got to saddle up your boys, you got to draw a hard line.
When the gunsmoke settles we'll sing a victory tune
And we'll all meet back at the local saloon.

And we'll raise up our glasses against evil forces singing, "Whiskey for my men, beer for my horses."

he should have shot all of them in their crotch - that's what they would have deserved. 6 months in jail is not enough.

He did what he thought he had to do - I couldn't imagine someone killing my dog.

No, no, no! You don't shoot someone in the crotch - they might live to sue you. In Texas, it is unlikely they would win, but you could be out a lot of money for legal representation.

In Louisiana if you maimed 'em you'd be immune from civil lawsuits too. . .I mean, they could try, but the judge would throw it out immediately. It's illegal to sue someone who injured you while you were on their property to steal something or hurt someone or something of theirs.

As it should be.....

At least in Arkansas, we no longer have to drag them into our house so we're making improvements in that area...

But, we still have to say we yelled out, "I've got a gun". :rotfl2: I wonder if it has to be in advance of pulling the trigger?

BTW, I'm in a Dave Ramsey FPU 13 week class now. It's pretty neat.

Poor guy. :(

People who kill animals and children are the scum of the earth. I have no pity for them.

I would have too. The dog's life comes before idiots like these lives.

There are some instances where I feel animals have more right to live than humans, this is one of those instances.

The moral of this thread...I need to move to Texas!!

Kudos to him for having self-restraint. I know DH wouldn't have. And I hope he is able to heal. :sad1:

I am curious, if in the 110 mph chase if he had accidentally killed an innocent person....how would you feel?

I'm also curiois, If a frog had wings, would it bump it's a@% when it hopped.

It didn't happen. No one was hurt. Correction...an innocent animal was killed and a war hero lost his best friend for the 4th time now.

Honestly, I wouldn't care one bit if he shot each one of those punks. This isn't the first time they did this and he would have done the world justice.

I feel he should have saved himself the gas money and just shot them on the spot. :thumbsup2 Dog killing SOBs.

What if..... he didn't chase them down, and those punks went on to kill another beloved family pet OR WORSE killed this 'child' or 'adult' we keep speaking of that was not killed or harmed in the chase that ensued?

But he didn't.

We could do "what if's" all day long.

It is not an irrelevant question. Innocent people have been killed and harmed in high speed police chases. It is not such or a rarity. POlice who have been trained in how to conduct such chases.

The question stands.

I understand why he did it and cannot truthfully say I would not do the same.

You want to ask "what ifs?" I got one for you, what if he hadn't chased them, hadn't caught them, and they killed more precious family pets? Dasy was not the first dog they killed, certainly it would not have been the last. What if they shot a person by mistake next time? How would that make you feel? How would that have made him feel, knowing he could have helped stop them but didn't?

Thankfully, we don't need to ask ourselves these questions because he did chase them down. They were caught because of him. They will be prosecuted thanks to him. And wonder of all wonders, no innocent people were harmed whatsoever.

Why are you trying so hard to vilify him?
