Navigator (paper size)

Are the Navigators on 8.5 x 11" paper, or odd-sized?
I'd like to take an envelope to protect them during travel. I have some plastic ones that will hold 12x12 scrapbook paper....is that large enough?

i believe they are 8x10. i think those page protector thing would work! i just put them all in the plastic bag that they put your shutters pix in. and stuck it at the bottom of our suitcase! your 12x12 scrapbook envelopes would work, cuz there are other things you might want to keep "protected", that might be bigger than 8x10. have fun collecting!

They are actually printed on 11 x 17 paper but folded down to 8 1/2 x 11. The holder you have will work great at keeping them protected.

Just thought I'd share... I use a 12 by 12 paper organizer similar to the one shown here:

Because if you are scraper you'll be bringing home more than just the navigators. I put all kinds of things in there: pictures, navigators, ticket stubs, napkins, postcards, etc... It was great and stayed well protected even when I put it through my regular luggage instead of carryon!!

In the past I've just used regular page protectors like the ones the kids use for school. Actually, I use the same ones year after year...they hold up very well.

If I may add another great tip I learned here (your holder sounds great, btw). Use the navigator they give you in your room as the one you carry around with you on the ship. Then each evening, go down to guest relations and pick up a couple of brand new ones to keep as your souvenirs. They have several displayed for the taking. These won't be folded or ripped, they stay nice for your photo album. I say take a couple of them, so you can use one as cutouts for your album, and one just to stay nice. Have a great first cruise!
