Hi guys! Way preliminary questions, most really good topics you all have done such a good job of dealing with, these are the stupid no one else will ask questions, (I'm sure I'll have more;)

1. Lots of talk about putting your own sign on the door, good idea, bring tape, or is there some sort of pin or hook??

2 I know the Navigator comes to you room each day, anyone have a sample day for us to look at and dream about??

3. We love WDW, go every chance we get. Last year on the way home from WDW, we had a rather spectacular car accident, and I am still not walking quite my usual. Am I right in thinking the cruise would be a little less walking over all than WDW??

Many Thanks,
Planning for 30th anniversary

I also would like to know about the door signs.

Are the doors all metal, so a maganet would work??

You can print out a door sign on the magnetic strips you can get at Staples or similar place. They are metal doors. Tape would probably work also.

Navigators can be found at dcltribute.com. They are pretty up to date and very informative. Have fun planning.

1. The doors are metal. I think planning on magnets would be the best, as they wouldn't damage the finish like tape might.

2. Sample navigators: http://www.dcltribute.com/navigators/

3. Yes. Far less walking, but the ship is bigger than you might expect. Take your time and enjoy yourself. No reason to rush anywhere.

Doors are metal, use magnets.

Definitely less walking on DCL than DW. You can do as little or as much walking as you want to. We used the stairs a lot because we didn't want to wait for the lifts, but they give access to every deck if you need them.

There are sample navigators on www.dcltribute.com. (If this address is not shown here, PM me and I will give it to you.

The doors are metal, so I would expect a magnet to work. I have no first-hand experience with hanging a sign on my door, though.

You can have a look at sample Navigators here:

Depending on what you decide to do in port, I would think there would be significantly less walking on a cruise than in the parks. The ships, while huge, are tiny in comparison to a WDW theme park. In port, you can take taxis to most places of interest, so you could limit your walking there, too.

Yes, cabin doors are metal thru and thru....DO NOT USE TAPE...some leave a residue behind...we saw an unhappy cabin steward trying to get the adhesive off a door last time we we sailed.

Magnets work great!!! But, beware...I had some of my favorite magnets taken right off the door one day never to be seen again.

Some people!!!
