Navigating the My Disney Experience (MDE) Web Site and App

The tickets are paperless and purchased along with the hotel through a travel agent so I have no actual ticket number, only a reservation code.

I don't know if that reservation code enabled tickets in your account. Do you show the tickets associated with the reservation in your account?

I think your best bet is to call. We can only guess.

If the tickets are completely unused, the website and app will allow you to reassign them to other individuals listed in your Family & Friends list. This is done from the 'My Reservations and Tickets' page.

Yes! However, it will only allow the ticket holder to reassign it, so if its assigned to you you should be able to go into your account and reassign it to her. Go into the My Reservations section and scroll down to the ticket section. Is her ticket showing up there but with your name beside it? If so, click on reassign (or whatever the terminology is.)

I have a reservation for Sept. 9. I am an annual passholder. When can I make fast pass selection? I can only see thru ending of July??

Thanks

The time frame is 60 days, so you should be able to see September 9 around July 11, give or take a day (I didn't manually count out the days!). :thumbsup2

As an AP holder, you can make FP+ selections for any time within the next 30 days, with a max of 7 days worth outstanding at any time.

At 60 days from check-in (which if my math is correct is July 11th), you can then make selections for the length of your stay.

Hello. I am divorced with daughter that I had just bought an Annual Pass for and used 2 weeks ago at Disney World. Her mother is taking her in a week and would like to add her to her My Disney Experience account to make Fastpasses for them. The problem is I can't find a way to add her to her mother's account since I control the ticket for her. If she was an adult with her own account her mother could invite her but there seems to be no way to do this for a child. This was never a problem with paper fastpasses and tickets now it is. I can't believe Disney didn't think of being able to link kids to another account for divorced families. Heck even if I was taking her friends with annual passes this would be an issue. There should be a temporary way add other kids with annual passes to another MDE accounts when they travel with other adults. UGH!! If anyone has had an experiences like this please help. Thank you in advance.

Keep in mind they are still working on the system, and they have to roll changes in judiciously so they don't break what already works...

You may need to call on this. I _think_ that if you and your ex link _your_ accounts, it will provide access to the managed guests under each, as long as the name matches the reservation. But I'm not 100% sure.

Her mother needs to add you as a friend and use the invite to plan and share to link your MDE accounts. Once she does that, if she clicks on 'Add a Guest' it will show your daughter for her to add to her family & friends list. Since you manage your daughters profile, you will receive an email to approve the friend request.

Thanks. I guess i was just missing the adding my daughter part after she added me as a friend. I just figured it would link my whole family if she linked me. Thanks for the help.

Seems like the 'profile' section of the site is not rendering properly. I'm looking to renew my AP but the page doesn't even fully come through and when it does, it's got display errors and things.... Looks miserable.

As with any web site, try a different browser.

I've tried mutiple browsers on multiple computers... It's actually the 'My Account' page. All of the backgrounds are gone and it looks like an early internet text document...

It's the only page I've had this happen on and it's been like this for weeks.

Last two days I can't access "My Plans" on the app. When I press it nothing happens for 30 seconds, then it calls up plans for today (which I have none) then I try to switch the calendar to August and nothing happens when I hit the arrow. If I try to go day by day it takes about a minute to advance a day after I hit the arrow.

Sounds like the browser failed to load a CSS file and it cached the fact that it didn't (not supposed to but it happens sometimes). Try clearing the browser cache completely.

Beyond that I don't know. Works fine for me.

Thanks for the feedback. It did not work... It's weird, when I log in with my wife's account, it works ok... When I log in with mine, it mis-renders...

It is even mis-rendering when I use the browsers on my mobile phone (not using the app)... This seems tied to my account specifically and not a browser.

Anyone have suggestions on how I go about linking our existing on-site room-only reservations and existing non-expiration tickets purchased last year in our MDE app so I can book at the 60 day window for FP+ during our trip?

I called IT customer service and they said it's already linked but when I go in to the FP+ section of the site and click on the tickets - it only gives me the 30 day window. Will it magically jump to a 60 day window at midnight of the 60 days?

Once you are 60 days from check-in, at midnight or shortly there after the window will expand to 60 days plus the length of your reservation.

Until that time, you are considered a day guest for booking FP+ selections which is why you only see a 30 day window currently.

If you see your reservation in MDX, and your tickets, you should be all set. You can't book a FP+ until you are actually in the window.

Whew, that's what I was hoping to hear! Thanks so much!

Make sure that your annual pass doesn't expire before the days you want to do FP+. If it does expire, you don't have a valid park ticket unless you go ahead and renew it. This happened to me and I had to renew mine to get FP selections.
