What are some of your experiences with Na'vi River Journey with a toddler? We have a toddler (turning 3 during our trip in June) and are wondering how toddlers have reacted to the Na'vi shaman of songs? We have read about the ride on tp and are just wondering if it should be in our plans or if it might be one to skip because it may be scary for the little one. Thanks!

I haven't had a toddler in quite some time, but I wouldn't expect anything on the ride to scare a child. Of course, with little ones, you never know what might scare them, so I suppose it is always a possibility.

Not scary at all. The ride in general is very relaxing and pretty. The ride goes very slow so you gradually float past the Shaman, not something that would suddenly frighten a little one.

My granddaughter loved it. She turned three during our visit in March and is very cautious about rides. She said it was slow and pretty. We have it scheduled again in July and she is 'so excited' to ride it again.

I'd rate it not scary.

There is lowered light levels so you can see the beauty. But it's not dark.

If you're concerned about the shaman, have the toddler sit towards the left of the seat. Shaman is on your right.

I will say you have no way of knowing how your kids will react. We took our twins to dL when they had just turned 4 and they screamed their way through every indoor ride. After the 4th ride we just stopped trying. But they loved every outdoor ride. As stated above they couldn’t be calmed at all during small world. I haven’t been on Navi yet but can’t imagine small world being scarier.

If they do get scared, it won't be for long. The ride is very short like about what seemed less than 5 minutes.

Don't have toddlers now, but just rode it yesterday, and nothing scary about any of the ride, shaman included. Wasn't meant to be scary.
Actually, all the pretty lighting should intrigue them!

I rode in September with 4 little girls under the age of 3. They loved it and weren’t scared of anything.

The Pirates of the Caribbean OTOH...the mermaid skeleton upset one of them a lot. LOL!
