My cousin just asked if we saw the nativity scene in MGM. We didn't but I didn;t want to sound like an undiser so I said "yes it was beautiful!" So where in MGM is this? Im guessing near the Osborne lights because we didn;t make it there this time.

It was at osborne lights and I read all the figures were from the original osborne lights and were purchased from the family. It was close to the exit were you would go out to get ice cream, or that playground area.

This is not the best picture, I was a little to the side, as there was a mass of small people waiting in line to get the Pink Power Rangers pic and autograph.

Oh, I thought that was a shepherd signing autographs. :rotfl2:

Yes, the nativity scene is beautiful. We appreciated that there are still plenty of religious symbols throughout the Christmas festivities at Disney.... the best of which was the reading during the Candlelight Processional.

Only at Disney World could you capture Baby Jesus and the Pink Power Ranger in the same photograph. :rotfl:

We were there on Christmas Day and noticed that Baby Jesus was missing from the nativity. We were hoping that he was taken for some refurbishment and not a permanent loss.

What we noticed was during the EMH night in early Dec that the Baby Jesus was there, but in the daylight he was missing......we were a little confused.

It is beauitful, we were impressed that Disney kept Christ in Christmas!
D.D.

We saw the nativity at the Osbourne Lights two Christmas's ago. It was at night and there was beautiful Christmas music playing. There was such a crowd gathered around the nativity, too. . . and all were quiet. I started getting choked up. My DS (5 at the time) piped up and said "Look! Disney knows what Christmas is really about!" I looked around and noticed that I wasn't the only one who was choked up. That is a great Disney memory for me. . .

Nothing quite like lying to celebrate the spirit of Christmas...

What would be so bad with just telling the truth and saying that you missed it?

where are the power rangers? were they only there for a special time?

Not to try to hijack this thread but the Power Rangers are available most days in MGM down near Lights, Motors, Action. You can't miss them when they come out in their "car" with all of the loud music.

I didnt mean to hijack thread either just desperate for the info you were so kind to give me,thanks a million! My grandkids said the power rangers were there, and I hadnt been able to confirm this...they will be sooo excited.
I am thrilled with news of the Nativity.....Disney is a class act, no question about it! God Bless them! And thank you again. :cool1:

Here is my pic of the Nativity - We took this on our way to the backlot tour and it was a good thing when we came out the Power Ranger line went right in front of it.
