Morning all,
Interesting topic at work this morning. There is an employee here who has been a problem for several years but continues to be employed. Someone mentioned they heard the reason why is because any time he has been warned about his work performance be brings up the fact that he is part Native American and apparently there is some labor law that Native Americans cannot be terminated from the work place. Has anyone heard of this law? And is there truth to it? Just curious....

My husband is a registered Native American and I have never heard of this. Sounds rediculous to me.
Wanted to add that the only way they can say this is if the person has been discrimated because he/she is a Native American, but that's pretty much true of any race/minority.

Thanks, I did a search and couldn't come up with anything either. But then again, my office is super-gossipy.

Thanks for the link, checking it out.
