National Two Car Upgrade question

For those that rent from National often, would you pay an additional $23.99 to get a two-car upgrade from National or go with emerald-aisle and the intermediate for $23.99 less. There are 4 of us. Two arriving in the morning and two in the evening. The only time we will all be in the car with luggage is when we return to the airport to go home.

I am not sure what the two-car upgrade will get me except the opportunity to stop at the counter rather than going straight to the aisle.

You need to consider the luggage capacity for the trip to the airport. An intermediate from National will have trunk room for one large suitcase and, perhaps, a carryon or two.

If each of the four people in your group has a large piece of luggage and a carryon, you may want to consider a van.

I would spend the extra money and get a full size with the two car upgrade. BUT.....you might try and see what a full size car costs with a different coupon. Sometimes the upgrade causes you to spend more than just renting it with a regular coupon.
We had an Impala this trip and the trunk was more than roomy enough for 4 people and their luggage.
The counter for National is rarely busy.

In a classic( malibu) we fit 1 large suitcase, 1 medium suitcase, 1 small suitcase, and 3 carry ons. We also are a family of four, two teens and two adults and we had plenty of room for our selves. This is an intermediate car according to my recepy from returning it. We had probrably ten of these to choose from in the EA when we went in August. The best part was less than 20 minutes from leaving the plane to leaving the airport.. no lines because of EA!!!
