Has anyone's National rate dropped yet for October? I keep checking but mine hasn't budged. I am going mid-October. Thanks!

RATES - Wow National seems really high. My rate for a intermediate size car is $ 235.15 per week. I even called their help line and was told that unless I find some speical or coupon that is the best price.

Does anyone have any suggestions? I stayed up VERY late last night going with other agencys and they all came back about the same or more $$$.

Mine hasn't budged either. We have an intermediate from Oct 22 to Oct 31 and it's been $235.13. I'm using the Carlson Code and the Entertainment $20 coupon.

Mine hasn't gone down....it's gone up.
I have an intermediate from 10/6-10/15 for $221.00

Have you tried dollar?? I have a intermediate for 8 days and its $155

Try others
Have a disney day:earsboy:

I just posted another thread about National. I was checking my rate and the site came back and told me there were no cars available for my dates, Oct 6-10. That was a new one on me. Maybe that is why rates are showing so high.

We have a intermediate for Oct 21 - Oct 30 for $238.01 emerald club and free day credit. Have been checking and it hasn't moved at all.

My 5 day rental has not moved at all for Oct 23rd to Oct 28th.
Intermediate
Ent #10008615 $20 coupon
Amex Code
EA $124.82 including taxes and fees.

We have a full sized car from the 23rd in the AM until the 30th in the PM. I have been checking our rates regularly and they have not come down:confused: :(

I have tried other rental agencies and the prices are the same or even HIGHER. I think the bottom line is, I waited too long to reserve. Lesson learned! There are many conventions in town during October in addition to all the WDW activities. Food and Wine Festival and many people have rescheduled from the hurricaines. It will be interesting to see how crowded it is in The World. We chose this time of year to get away from the :crowded: but you just never know. ::yes::

If anyone comes up with a super code please share, but I am begginning to think we will have to stick with our $235.15 a week rate.

I have a mid-size through Dollar for about $140 including taxes/fees from October 24-31.

I reserved a while ago, and thanks to this board, someone said to check the rates since they went down, and sure enough, they did! I used a code I found on Mousesavers.

I reserved 2 cars last night for pickup on 10/24 and returning on 10/30.

We have an intermediate for $147 through Budget. It includes tax, but I do have to double check on the airport charges because I can't tell whether they are included. There's a link to a coupon on mousesavers that you can print out that got that rate.

We also have an intermediate through Dollar for $150 which includes all the taxes/airport fees. I found that one on the Dollar site.

What kills you is that all the taxes bring the prices up so much...they were between $35-40 on these rentals.

I have an intermediate reserved via National Emerald Aisle for 7 days (Oct 16-23) using the $20 Entertainment coupon and the Priceless code for $170.11 total (taxes included). I keep checking rates and I'm still getting a better rate using the Priceless code than the Carlson code.

I continually recheck mine, and yesterday it also came up with "sold out". I'm renting a minivan in mid-October. I already have a ressie so am glad that I booked it months ago. I think October is going to be a busy month.
