While vacationing at Yellowstone NP last week, I saw something really cool. In many of the gift shops we entered (and I think we entered them all) were racks of pins depicting features of the Park, such as Old Faithful. They were also selling lanyards, as well as a set containing a lanyard & two each of two different pins. They also had a card describing a "new tradition" of pin collecting and trading, with trading guidelines. They even had employees in some of the stores wearing the lanyards laden with pins that you could trade for. Does anyone have any idea where they came up with this concept? This might very well turn into something popular.
By the way, Yellowstone is extraordinarily beautiful. Being from the East Coast, the change in scenery (not to mention the 15% humidity) was fabulous. I constantly hear the siren call of WDW, but this was a very worthwhile trip.
