DAY 11 - 22ND DECEMBER : MICKEY'S VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS PARTY
YAWN...... Energy drink Check. Oh a picture of health I am. India throwing up the rabbit ears again.
Today was Magic Kingdom day. Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party was on the cards for tonight, and this was the last party of the year.
The plan was to head in and get there around 2pm, so we had some time to kill. The sun was beaming down yet again, go Orlando , so it was as good as anytime to venture around Pop Century a bit more for some good old exploring.
This really was a perfect morning to get some snaps going, and also get some 360 degree video going.

Roger Rabbit, seriously a great movie.
The massive Tramp. Very well done. All the statues look awesome. It was time to get ready and head over to the Bus area for the Magic Kingdom.
Much better luck this time as it was around 1pm with virtually no one in line for the bus. So a pretty empty bus and we were on our way. I had butterflies in my stomach, this is what we had come to see and do the most.
Once again, security was no problems, short and sweet. And we were in.
So Majestic. The Christmas decorations were up and looked great, we were all ready in the Christmas mood. Oh this was to be a great day.
We had our first fastpass+ to get to, meeting talking Mickey. This was going to be cool.
As you can see we were all happy to meet the Mouse. Even at 40 years old i was a little star struck. We mentioned India had just turned 7 and he said " 7 years old , you will be driving soon " and proceeded to sing Happy birthday to her. It was a pretty cool moment. India called him the real Mickey Mouse because he could talk. Such a great experience and highly recommend everyone should do it.
We said our goodbyes and headed out down Main Street.
Wow, the first thing my wife and i both pretty much said at the same time was, " geez thats a big one". The Castle compared to
Disneyland's one is Massive.
And we arrived with perfect timing for some fireworks.
I quickly had another Dad moment, looking around thinking to myself look where we are. This was awesome. Decorations everywhere looked great, my eyes didnt know where to look, they were trying to keep up with the excitement. The closer we got to the Castle the bigger it just kept getting. Thumbs up.
We took a right turn and headed over to Tomorrow Land. It was around 4pm so we were able to line up near Buzz to check in for the Christmas Party. Wrist strap on we were all ready to get going again.
The People Mover was next. Another Daddy ride, woooo. This was a nice ride to rest the legs again and get out of the hot Sun. It was cool going through Space Mountain hearing everyone scream their lungs out. Awesome stuff.
With the People Mover done it was time to make our way to our next Fastpass+. Big Thunder Mountain. A favourite of ours at Disneyland , so we were excited to see the differences. It was a fair walk from Tomorrow Land, but we passed so many cool things along the way, oh The Haunted Mansion we will return soon. Fantasy Land was packed, but we just powered through the traffic and got to our destination.
It looked awesome and very different from the Disneyland version. It was time to tap the Magic Bands and get to it. The fastpass line moved fairly quickly, the stand by line was at about 90 minutes. The train rolled up and we squeezed ourselves in. Lets get this thing going.
10 out of 10 for this one. Wow. So much better at Magic Kingdom. It felt quicker and longer, with plenty more twits and turns. India was screaming with excitement the whole way.
With Big Thunder under our belts we had one more fastpass+ to attend. Something the wife wanted to ride since she knew it existed. Something from a Princess she loved the most.
Yes time to venture on the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. This thing looked awesome. I don't think Bec spoke a word the whole time from the lining up until the ride was over. Just a constant smile on her face the whole time.
Such a smooth ride, you can even practise your singing half way with the Dwarfs. The whole train was pretty much singing along as we made our way through the Mine, classic Disney at Work. Where else can you sing a song on a train in a mine? Thats the great thing about Disney, everyone is there to have fun and make memories.
7pm was coming along and it was slowly getting dark. People were slowly making their way out of the park while the Party goers were getting ready for the Christmas Party. We grabbed a Christmas Mickey Popcorn Bucket and headed off in search of our Party treats. Biscuits, hot Chocolate, ahh this was great. It was starting to get a little chilly but we had better things to do than worry about the cold.
The lines for rides were pretty short, but we spent most the time just walking around and enjoying the festivities. Of course a 7 year old has rides on the mind pretty much all the time. We were close to Dumbo and it was pretty much empty so on we jumped.
Spinning rides are not the best for me, they make me woozy very quick and Dumbo was bringing out the woozy big guns.
After the ride i truly felt not the best. Time to wash it down with some Haunted Mansion (more on that later)
The Castle was looking magical at night. The fireworks show was about to start so we walked around to find out spot. It was pretty packed but still easy to get around.
We settled into our spot and enjoyed the show.
The fireworks and light show on the Castle were awesome, who doesn't like fireworks. The Christmas Party was coming to an end, and was well worth the price. Our goal was to just enjoy the moments throughout the evening, not worry about rides or line up for extremely long waits for characters. Just walking around in the festive spirit was enough for us.
It was time to say good night to the Magic Kingdom and walk down Main Street to the exit. Of course we completely forgot they had the snow machine going so this was a great way to end the night.
What a beautiful sight to see and a perfect way to end the night.
