National Emerald Isle July long weekend?

We are arriving on July 3rd and picking our rental car up around 7:30pm and I was wondering if anyone has rented from National on a July long weekend and what the selection was like in the emerald Ilse . I am hoping to get a good size car since there is 5 of us 2 adults and 3 teens.

I don't think anyone could really tell you what to expect, because it can change at any time. If you're reserved Emerald Aisle, then that's only a mid-size car, and you need to be sure you can actually fit your people and luggage in that size car. Sometimes there are upgrades, but sometimes there aren't.

the complexion of the EA has changed in the last couple years since they do not have as many cars in their inventory and may share them with Alamo and Enterprise which is the parent company

we were there may 31 st weekend ( now on the actual day not a friday ) but the EA basically had midsize cars and a lot of HHRs which I would not consider to be midsize more like a "specialty" rental

if they do have larger full size cars they will place them on the executive aisle

you may luck out, but count on getting a midsize, then if you get a bigger car that will be "bonus"

The last time we were there (last month) there were only mid-size cars in the Emerald Aisle on both side A and side B. If you are happy with a mid-size car that's great. If it isn't going to work, you might want to reconsider your rental and do a Emerald Reserve for a larger car.

Thanks everyone it was the national Rep that suggested us booking the mid size and using the emerald isle . So I guess we'll see what happens .
