National - Emerald Aisle Question???

Hi guys -

I've noticed in quite a few posts that many of you have gotten excellent deals using National and have specifically referred to their Emerald Aisle service.

My question is this - Do you all belong to the EA club and has it cost you all the $50 fee? Are there codes for discounts on the membership?


I don't rent cars frequently so the registration fee seems a bit high for something I'll rarely use.

I currently have a good deal thru Dollar but am always looking for an even better deal and I like the idea of getting to choose the car from National EA.

I believe that most people posting here received their EA membership ($50) for free by either joining the now defunct Disney Club or through a corporate travel program at work.

I would not say most joined for free, but, a few did. I did years ago through Biz Travel. Check mousesavers to see who is offering free membership (if anyone).
