National coupon questions

Does anyone know if a Sam's club coupon can be used with the priceless code (instead of the Sam's code)? Also can the coupon be added to an existing reservation without affecting the rate? Finally, if doing EA, do you just give them the coupon when leaving the garage or does it require going to the desk inside? Thanks all!

Yes, you can combine a Sam's coupon with the Priceless (or any other) code. I use the Entertainment $20 off coupon all the time with the Priceless or Carlson code.

You just hand the coupon to the gate attendant as you drive out of the lot.... that is the only time you talk to anyone at National when using the EA.

Good question with the adding a coupon later... maybe call them... but I would first try to do the ressie over again on their Web site. See what rate comes up there... if you get the same or a better rate, simply make that reservation and cancel the first one......

I just did this for my June trip..... simple.

I used the entertainment coupon ($20) off. I was curious what the Sam's coupon is. I haven't gotten by there yet to pick one up.

Help! I must be really missing something here. The reservation (online) is only allowing me to put in one contract code so how are you guys getting 2 in there? I have the Entertainment book 20.00 one and then I'm trying a few different codes picked up on here.

Also, it says if I use a discount code, I have to use counter service and I can't use their emerald program to pick the car up without going to the counter?

If you are using an upgrade coupon, then yes, you have to go to the counter. If it is a amount off coupon, you do not have to go to the counter (if you are an Emerald Club member). If you are not a member of Emerald Club, you will have to stop at the counter with the coupon.

The two codes people are referrring to are the contract ID and the coupon code.... many times a contract ID is referenced to a coupon ID... you don't have to use the contract ID that goes with the coupon.... see above.

Ahhhhhhhhh...gotcha now.

I was using the 20.00 off coupon not the upgrade and it said I couldn't use Emerald, hmmm....I'll try it again.
