National@Car Care Ctr - your experiences and advice please!

Booked our flights late, so good deals on cars are gone! We rarely use our car while staying on-site, so decided to drop off our National rental at the Car care center, and pick one back up later in the week for our trip to the in-laws. We are saving over $100 doing this! On another post, someone wished me luck with this, complaining it took FOREVER for National to deliver them to the parks after dropping off their car

Last year we did this with no problem, dropping off and picking up at the Dolphin where we stayed. I understand they no longer use the Dolphin, and direct customers to the Car Care Center.

What has been your experience with National at the Car care center? Any advice?

Professor Von Drake, I'm worried about this also. We are doing something similar, only keeping the car a few days early and late in trip, Had ressies at dolphin counter but because they are supposed to be iffy, changed to car care center. Thanks, good question, MKY

No answers; just more questions. We will be returning a car to the Car Care Center, also. The Center is open until 6:00 p.m. and we plan to drop the car off at 5:30 p.m.

Is the shuttle there all the time? Where does the shuttle go? Will it take us to OKW or DD?

Give the National desk at the Dolphin another call. Last time I checked, you COULD do drop off and pick up there.

We rented a car for a few days from National the first part of January, this year. We also dropped the car off at the Car Care Center.
We loved it. It was VERY convenient and we were immediately wisked away to the park of our choice.
When we went inside to drop off the keys, the line was LONG. (Even in January-- when the parks were DEAD.)
Just to our right (as we walked in the front door) there was an open inner door to a small office. A man was coming out of that door and I asked him if I needed to stand in line just to return the car keys. He said, no, and showed me the slot in the open door right next to us.
Then he asked us if we needed a ride. We said YES. And within just a few minutes he drove us to MGM.
Great experience for us. We would do it again.
