National Car after Disembarkment?

We are going on our 2nd DCL next month. So excited! Last year, we took the DCL Shuttle from Port Canaveral to MCO Airport. This time, we are renting a car from National at the port. Does someone from National meet us at the ship port? If not, how do we get from the port to the National Car Rental office?

Most of the car rental places have a shuttle to their offices. Have you asked National?

No, I had not called them. That would be too easy! LOL! Okay, so I just called them and they do provide free shuttle from port to their car rental office. Thanks, PrincessShmoo!

See this Thread - Enterprise, Alamo, and National are sister companies - and they share a location, so getting on a shuttle to/from their facility is no problem (we did this a year ago). On disembarkation, the DCL folks will tell you which "bus / shuttle" loading spot to go to and a shuttle will be there waiting or back there shortly.

and yes it's free ... for the cost of a rental.

I did not realize that National had reopened a location in Port Canaveral area. We used to use them over a decade ago until they closed, and then we used other companies for a while - but we have found the shuttle process to be aggravating for us with our limited vacation time and depending on what you are doing afterwards. Hated waiting for the shuttle or the processing - maybe national has streamlined the check out process at the port - but you used to have to go in and wait in line to turn in your keys and then wait for the shuttle. We usually keep a car at WDW anyhow. If our vacation ended with the cruise, we use Disney transfers so that we have onboard check in. If we were going to parks or Universal afterwards, we rent our own car as we can be off the cruise ship and at the parks by 9 or 10......

We are spending one day at Magic Kingdom and then going to the port. Our flight home isn't until 7pm, so we are getting a rental car from port to MCO so that we can spend the afternoon at the Space Museum.
