I've never used the code that goes with my EA account --- always switch it to something else (the old DC, Priceless Vacations), and also use coupons every trip. Haven't been to the counter in about 5 years.

Just goes to show you tho...some of us have great experiences and others don't. I know Gail says that she has always had luck with Alamo. We have had 3 bad experiences with Alamo and we even gave it two more chances but still more bad experiences.

I would write to National and tell them what happened. They need to be aware of what their customers deal with.

I totally agree, do write. They responded to my complaints (yes, I have had a problem or two with National, nothing worth repeating here because it was resolved) rapidly and were very very nice.

Even if I'm not able to get the National website to accept an Emerald Aisle reservation with a coupon and the contract code, do I understand that I can still just go on out and get the car?

Only if it says, proceed directly to the Emerald Aisle or your level of service is Emerald Reserve.

we also rented our car from national last week and i had enrolled into the EA, i also have fastlane and fastbreak....

it took dsis and i 20mins. to pickout what car we wanted.lol.lol
then got in and drove right up to the booth handed them my drivers lic, cc and coupon, got everything back and drove off within 2 mins.

the only complain i had when we returned the car and the family in front of us was still unloading and packing things together and the girl that was scanning the vin # and giving reciepts, wouldnt check ours in until she did the family car first, dsis and i stood there for a 10 mins just waiting and watching this family packing, it was crazy
