National A and B

I'm sure this has been asked before but I can't find a thread, I apologize.

I'm using National and the Emerald Aisle program for the first time in a couple weeks and I'm noticing people referring to an A side and a B side. What exactly does this mean? Are there two separate National lots? Which one is "better"? Are there advantages to one or the other?

The airport is basically one big terminal with an A and B side. Each side has it's own parking structure labeled A or B. There is baggage claim, rental counters on both sides. Simply go to your baggage claim side, get your baggage and go one floor down to the rental car counters. You bypass the counter and head for the parking lot, following the signs. It is easy. No side is better than the other. One could have a better selection that the other at any given time, so if you really feel like walking, go for it.

Our first trip I went ahead of my party and checked the A side first and met them in baggage. The B side was about the same.

Thank you very much for the information. I've never done a car rental of any type in Orlando, and in the past we've only traveled with carry-on luggage, so I really didn't have a visual of what the whole setup was like for baggage claim or anything. I appreciate your help!
