I made it home safe in spite of the nasty weather today. I am so thankful everyone was driving slowly and not crazy coming home from work this afternoon. The snow is coming down so fast, and the roads are so slick. DH isn't home yet, but he called to make sure DD and I made it home safe. All of you in Illinois and anyother state that is going through this, drive slowly, and stay safe! I can make it home in 10-15 minutes and with this weather it took me 45 minutes. Who cares as long as you get home safe!!

DITTO. It took me about 20-25 minutes more than usual.

Took me 1 1/2 hours to get home, normally about 30 minutes!!

I HATE WINTER!!!! But I made it home safe, even though sliding all the way.

Pretty wicked here for awhile today too. I was glad to get home.

We'll be havign snow tomorrow, so I'll be dealing with the nasty drive then.

Not something I am looking forward to.:(

I have a 20 min commute, took me 1.5 hours.

At least I did not have to get on 290 it is 3.5 hours there last I heard.

It started here a couple hours ago. DH is driving home from class over an hour away (to the north) and he said it's really bad there. We're getting mostly sleet/freezing rain right now, expecting snow later on. Yipee.

My ds 13 is stuck on a school bus in downtown cincy coming back from a field trip to see phanton of the opera. They were suppose to be back at school at 4:30 and here it is 6:40 and they are still stuck in traffic down there. When they reach their school we have to pick him up. It so bad here too. I am so upset they didn't fore see all this and cancel it. . Please send a prayer or pixie dust that the kids and everyone gets home safe.

Glad to hear everyone made it home safely. Mrs.Mom and others that have family on the way home, sending up a prayer that they all make it home soon. No snow on my drive home, just rain.

Glad to hear you made it home safe. Bad roads are so stressful. We've had a lot of snow so far this year (more than usual it seems for it being only early Dec.) but it's come alittle bit everyday and it hasn't been "Bad" yet. We have another storm watch starting at 9pm tonight- so maybe this one will be bad.

Kilee, they are only predicting about 4-7 inches by tomorrow afternoon close to the PA border, up here we are only looking at 3-5...but the way they are reporting it, you would think we were getting a huge storm!

You can't believe them anyhow. It seems to do the opposite of what they say. So, I guess if they say 4-7 inches for me- I'm either getting 2-3 feet or nothing.
