Nasty lady at the Disney Store

A couple of weeks ago my family was at the Disney Store, and there was a woman berating the clerks because she couldn't find anything in her size. Being large myself, I know how sizes go and she had to be at least a 4X or a 5X. She was yelling about size discrimination. Everyone was staring and whispering. I was embarassed for her, and for myself.

I left very quickly because I didn't want to be guilty by association. I don't know what possesses people to make fools of themselves.

I hate it when people are nasty for no reason, especially to sales clerks because they know they can't retaliate. I stuck my nose in it at WDW once and told the woman to chill out when she was yelling at a CM. Then she started yelling at me, which I really could have cared less, at least she left the poor hapless CM alone! It's nice of you to care.

What a nutcase! Following that lady's logic we should all start yelling at the Disney Store since it's gotten hard to find ANY clothing for adults. Geesh!!!

I was at TDS today checking out when a man was expressing his anger over some promotion that was in the catalog that wasn't in the store. He wasn't screaming but I thought, what could the CM do about it? She explained(very nicely) that the store and catalog are 2 different areas, then said "what can I do to help? " It quieted him a bit. You would think that woman would take all that anger and write a letter instead of screaming at the CM!! It is embarassing to see though.

That is so sad. I always feel sorry for people when they get griped out for something they don't have any control over. Surely that woman doesn't really believe that the store employees decide what they should carry.

How stupid! I was in a store yesterday whose largest size was 5. I didn't get mad; I left the store. They obviously don't cater to me. Stores aren't a public service. They are private and have the right to offer whatever products and services they wish. I too got yelled at when a CM at WDW for not offering sugar-free ice cream at our stand (we only had 8 different flavors, geez!).

Kallison, hooray for you! I love standing up for CMs when they're getting abused. It felt especially good when I worked there and was visiting the parks as a guest. I got to get off my chest all the things I WISH I could say when working.

I hate to see people do that too. Most of the time the person is just having a bad day and think they have the right to be rude when they so choose.

She should shop at the disney store website...I'm a big guy and they have clothes that fit me just fine.
