I didn't think I had to worry about this until Dec., but we booked a last minute cruise a couple weeks ago for Mar. 16- (4-day Wonder), and was wondering if any of the tours at Nassau were worth doing. I've read so much and I'm getting really confused. It's just my husband and I, we are 53 and don't mind walking.

It sounds like most people think the best thing is just to go to the Straw Market and look around then get back on ship. Any suggestions would really be appreciated. We have never cruised and have absolutely NO idea what we're doing.

Thanks,

Mike & Gail Shively
(getting excited and anxious)

I'll be on the 3/16 Wonder too. Taking my mom, DD and DGr.D - 4 generations. We've done Wonder and Magic cruises before, but are just as excited as 1st time, every time.
We aren't crazy about Nassau and will probably just take a walk over to the straw market, but a lot of people have enjoyed the tour over at the Atlantis and another popular thing is the swim with the Dolphins. I am actually looking forward to just staying on board and hopefully soaking up some sun......I'm tired of winter. There are about 4 other families from the DIS boards who are sailing 3/16 too. Hope to see you at sailaway party. We always watch from deck 10 and will all have matching disney shirts and lime green ribbons on.

Welcome to the DIS, Mike and Gail!

I am another that doesn't do a lot in Nassau, but that is because I just like to stay on the ship....I could LIVE on the ship! :)

Here you will find a link to some excursions in Nassau that some of the Dreams agents have experienced. Hope it helps!

Sandee I will be watching for you guys then (lime green t-shirts). Hopefully we'll be easy to spot. My husband is short and has long grey hair (will be in pony tail) and a short grey beard. I have
a lot of freckles, lol. Thanks for the info. I was considering going to Atlantis to see the aquarium, but still haven't decided.

Cathy thanks so much for the site about the different tours.
That was EXTREMELY helpful, but now I'm having trouble deciding
what I'll do, lol.

Thanks again.

I have done the dolphin swim before and it is fabulous! It is better to book it on your own than through the cruise. My understnading is that the cruise does not offer the option where you actually get into the water and swim with the dolphins, only the option where you are on a platform and the dolphins come up to you.

This definitley has to be your cup of tea but Im in my 40's and loved it. On our cruise in August, I plan to take my DH and DS to do it. ;)
